seriously.. definitely envious! I was really disappointed they didn't have an Awakenings NYE edition when I was in Holland.. the lineup last year was right up my alley!
ah well.. I'll be getting more than my share of European techno parties in time.

I have been told for the last 2 years now by a friend in Holland that I need to make it to one of these parties and finally this year is the year. I am not going to both nights but I will be there for Saturday night.
If you go onto www.partyflock.nl they list all their events and it is just crazy to see how many techno events they have here. There is one at least every weekend. Now Holland is the place to live
(soon enough for me I hope )

Of course, I'm not suggesting I have a crystal ball or anything...but I'm speculating based on what's happened in older, more mature techno scenes, here in NA and in Europe.
for a techno thread I was finding it an interesting discussion...

Fresh technopride sets this month... a lot of haaaard sets!
not too crazy about this batch but I'm going to check out the Pet Duo one for sure.
For those of you who dig Rush, he has been a big supporter of Pet Duo and has been instrumental in promoting them in Europe where they now play all the time. To this day still the only married couple techno djs I know of!

some Brazilian party pics on Technopride.. another country with consistenly solid techno lineups.. not the huge festivals like Europe, but they often have parties with 3-4 international headliners.
Marko Nastic

I didn't even know who that was! hheheh
more names this month that I don't recognize so I figured maybe it was a local or something. Technopride rocks and they host a ton of great sets.. but their monthly batch can sometimes be all a bunch of fresh sets from Liebing, Rush, Nastic, Ruskin, etc.. or it can be a few of those like this month, and a lot of Brazilians (the owner of the site is DJ TRB and he has several up this month).

Kate that photo from Barbara is a recent one...she is on tour for "Come with me" - good to see her being so well received in south america...undoubtedly she played her new style for this gig!
I'm getting an advance copy of her CD this week; very excited to hear it.

I am not sure if it was the same city but Barbara played Brazil within the past 6 months where she also played over half her set with her new ‘style’, so they might have had an idea of what to expect.
That’s cool about the advance copy.. though it will probably be the first Barbara cd I won’t end up buying.. her old relentless beats cds used to be on my heavy rotation at the gym!
