Right On, ya some people also told me that the tt-200's are the only good turntables with that kinda price. and i got kinda lucky, coz first i was in a rush and i ordered stupid gemini tt-02, and then everyone told me how crappy they are and i thought its over, but lucky me the company gave me a call after and told me that there will be a delay in shipping, so i asked right away to cancel those gemini and send me the numark ones instead, and it all worked out. shipping delay saved my life

i hope vinyls are addictive as much as drugs are, so i can spend the money on them rather than ....

People always talk about the pitch being way to sensitive but u'll get used to it. u just gotta practice a lot. the pitch also fluctuates but it is no biggy. once u get your ears all tuned up and had some time under your belt, mixing with the tt-200s will be great. a very very good plus side to owning decks that are cheaper than technics is that once u get very good with the cheaper ones, u'll be even better with the almighty technics, and vestaxes. You'll be used to sensitive pitches and fluctuation and can correct some errors more easily. but eh, good luck with DJing, hope u enjoy it. now it is time to literally burn your money on vinyl ...it isnt a bad thing though

haha, yeah the pitch is REALLY sensitive on them, but I'm used to it now, I've never had mine flucuate on me, usually just due to the fact that songs weren't perfectly matched up, after awhile you just get used to hearing when the beats start going out of sync and you learn how to fix it, just comes with the territory of spinning vinyl over cds. cds are fun, but nothing beats the thrill of hunting down rare records, finding crazy white label shit, and when you go to a party and have 2 things packed full of records. good luck man, just remember, HAVE FUN, don't take it to seriously!

hey guys i got few questions since im starting out.

i saw some vinyls that are used for scratching, what would happen to a normal vinyl with tracks if i scratched with it, is it ok or is it bad for the vinyl ?

another thing is, when you wanna record your mixing, you hook up the mixer to the computer thro usb right? and what software do you guys use for that?

you don't want to scratch with your normal records, some of the best records for scratching can be found at thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, i have tons of weird shit I found at those places.

i use the "tape" output from my mixer and plug it into the line in jack on my pc, I use "audacity", which is freeware, to record my sets, then I use Sony CD Architect (which is not free) to split my sets up into seperate tracks.

always record, every time, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.

another thing is LEARN TO RIDE THE PITCH, it makes beatmatching so much easier, it takes longer to learn, but in the long run, you'll be REALLY greatful that you learned it

it takes far more skill to match the levels by ear than to match up some flashing lights on the mixer

My first decks were the numatk tt1625 which r even worse but learning on decks like them makes u a better dj in the long run after a year i upgraded to the numark ttx it only took me a day or so to get the hang of them cause i was that used to a crapper deck.
