I know that the "Z" is pronouced "Zh" and usually the "J" sounds like a "Y", but I am not an expert on the serbo-croatian language. So if anyone can help me out, that would be great. |
Z with the little v sign on top is pronounced Zh. A c with a v sign on top is ch, and with a / on top is same but softer, kinda like ty. A normal z is pronounced z, and a normal c is pronounced like z in german, kinda like ts in Mao Tse Tung. Š is sh, and Đ and dž are like j in english, just that đ is softer. A normal s is pronounced s and j is always like y. Nj is kinda like ny, say like n in the word news. Lj is like ly, kinda like l in value. So Željko Ražnatović would be something like Zhelyko Razhnatovich.
