Solid episode overall, but the pacing felt all wrong to me. Maybe it's because the massive delay between ep04x10 was never intended (due to the writers strike), there was a lot more hype surrounding the cliffhanger than the writers intended. Consequently, what you get feels somehow underwhelming.
That being said, this episode introduce a whole lot of new material, and serious fans will have a lot of pondering to do at the end.
Also, it features the best "Admiral Adama in a drunken rage" scene since the time he broke his little boat. (They sure do put away the sauce aboard Galactica.)

i think the best scene in ep 11 was when he asked for the gun and walked to Tigh's quarters...the chaos just engulfing the whole fleet was shown in just those 30 seconds in such depth..

That was definitely a good scene, people sitting in the halls staring off into space or head in hands, a beatdown while the guards just stand and watch.
What about D's scene? I thought that was really well done too.

i think in a way it was unnecessary and there just cos its BSG and they love shocking us...there are some i know that cheered when she did that...hmmm lol

I thought it was a good way for them to illustrate the complete and utter hopelessness of the situation. With a population of 30,000 or so there were bound to be a few people who felt that way.

I don't see why it was unnecessary. This is the end of the series and its time to wrap up the characters personal story lines. With everyone living for the hope of finding earth, and to find it a hunk of radioactive ash, at least one lead character is going to give in to despair.
