To answer your question I would recommend you look at all the havok we have caused by not following nature in the past. From simple things like lactose intollerance developing by our unnatural choice to continue consuming dairy products into adulthood (where no other animal does this) to epidemic drought and famine caused by deforestation or over cultivation of land, the near destruction of the aborigional people in the heart of Australia due to commercial farms and the introduction of foriegn animal species.... especially cats, and countless other examples, we can see the detrimental effects of fuckin' with nature everywhere.

all that aside we all personally reap the benefits of screwing with nature everyday and probably aren't willing to give that up.... however, it still isn't the best idea we ever had.

I don't think it's a stupid question at all...

While I appreciate (and agree with to a great extent) the examples you present, do you then advocate shunning all modern medicine and letting nature take it's course with regard to all forms of illness and disease? Should we treat everything with nothing but herbs?

FWIW, there is nothing "natural" (or eco-friendly) about the global meat industry right now either.

touchee! Perhaps I should have qualified my statement by tagging on a "unless necessary"..... of course then we need to question what is and is not necessary, however, altering our natural diets because we don't want to kill animals is not necessary.

Solees in Waterloo serves Belgian blue veal chops..... best cut of meat available IMP

The Cambridge Mill has some great steak but $$$, Charcole isn't bad, Gulf's has the best prime rib in the city.

Hope it helps

Riverbank Steakhouse here in Cambridge. Fuck me running is it ever good. Pricey as hell, but a great place to take a woman for the atmosphere and all that good stuff.

Their prime rib is the best I've ever had.

{edit} I think Craig is talking about the same one in the post above this, as it is built in an old mill right on the river.

Where is this Solee's place in Waterloo?

We are talking about the same place... I guess the name has changed.

Solee's is just off of Erb St. right behind the Segrams Lofts. Great food, atmosphere is upscale but casual (think high end jazz bar but a bistro), and the pricing is decent, similar to Gulf's or the Blackshop in price but more like Greystone's (I miss that place) in quality.

What's the range of 'decent price'?

No, but neither is altering our diets to include them either.
