To answer your question I would recommend you look at all the havok we have caused by not following nature in the past. From simple things like lactose intollerance developing by our unnatural choice to continue consuming dairy products into adulthood (where no other animal does this) to epidemic drought and famine caused by deforestation or over cultivation of land, the near destruction of the aborigional people in the heart of Australia due to commercial farms and the introduction of foriegn animal species.... especially cats, and countless other examples, we can see the detrimental effects of fuckin' with nature everywhere.
all that aside we all personally reap the benefits of screwing with nature everyday and probably aren't willing to give that up.... however, it still isn't the best idea we ever had. |
I don't think it's a stupid question at all...
While I appreciate (and agree with to a great extent) the examples you present, do you then advocate shunning all modern medicine and letting nature take it's course with regard to all forms of illness and disease? Should we treat everything with nothing but herbs?
FWIW, there is nothing "natural" (or eco-friendly) about the global meat industry right now either.
