I would just like to give you a perspective on how things are here in Denmark.

We are also coming to the point where we are having huge problems with these thugs, mostly foreigners, who go about stabbing people in the nightlife. The guns are not here yet, well they have been noted in some secluded episodes but it is not nearly the same as in the US.

The nightlife here is fucked. There are hardly any trance/alternative music clubs around, because there is simply no market. All people want here is hip-hop and rap. I despise that sort of music, because I find it all to be quite trivial and i am quite frankly bored with hearing the same people singing about crime, people dying, selling drugs and other stuff of the sort.

The fact that the majority of the clubbers began to listen to hip-hop only, also had a huge impact on the general atmosphere. All you have to do is to look at someone, and a few seconds after you will have a knife in your stomach. The so-called thugs here are foreigners who have come to Denmark, and failed to adjust. They do not carry the sole responsibility, but there have been conducted studies which concluded that the largest percentage of youngsters in prison, are foreigners.

It's also interesting, because it seems that the world has gotten the impression that we are treating them wrong and that we aren't respecting their religion, culture and so forth. I hope that people from the outside world understands that we are doing everything in our power, but it is in some cases not enough because these people are coming from countries that have been torn by war and they are thus lacking an understanding of how a society is build. Some choose to try and learn it, others don't and those who don't are the ones who are causing the problems for the rest of us.

Luckily, it is not my intention to stay in Denmark for the rest of my life. Life is too short, and I am not happy here. The only thing keeping me here, is the education that I am in the middle of. After that, then i'm gone.

It's kinda funny to think of it because we have everything here. No one is starving, free education and so forth, but that doesn't necessarily make for the population to be happy.

Wow, I must say I am shocked.

To be honest, I never thought such a sort of thing was happened in Denmark? Is this happened just in one particular city, or in the whole country in general?

I find it surprising that Denmark does not have that many trance clubs, as I always assumed trance was still popular there. I know that in nearby Sweden, trance is definitely still popular.

How strict is Sweden's immigration policy, if you say that mostly foreigners are causing such problems? I know that Germany and Holland have had a few unrelated problems with foreigners, and the Netherlands has already adopted a new immigration policy. The Germans are currently considering a new immigration policy.

There is nothing wrong with a country having their own immigration rules. If a country sees that certain immigrants and foreigners will be detrimental to the society and their lifestyle, I think they have a right to protective so to speak.

Sticky Fingaz defined GHETTO:

[Sticky Fingaz - talking]
If your head is as big as Shamello's
If your bank is the check cashin place
If you put on panty-hose instead of shavin your legs
If you use grease that you used over and over again
If you only go to church on Easter and holidays
Then you ghetto, believe that

[Chorus]
Can you be rich and be ghetto? (Yep)
And just cause you poor do that mean that you ghetto? (Nope)
So people don't understand what it mean to be ghetto
And if you gonna ask then you probably never know

[Sticky Fingaz]
Bein ghetto, it's just the things we do sometimes
Like hangin your clothes on the oven to dry
But you late, you gotta go and they ain't ready yet
(You put 'em on anyway, and rock 'em halfway wet)
First you wear then return everything you buy
Always lookin for a discount 'til the day you die
Got three kids, by three different guys
(And all they need to give you is a Mai Tai and a shot)
You know you ghetto when you use a wrench for a channel changer
No antenna, you gotta use a metal hanger
Drink from the container and put it back in the fridge
(Knowin damn well the shit was wrong you did)
Put salt on your food, before you even taste it
Get a doggy bag, ghetto niggaz ain't wastin shit
You know you ghetto, no, you know you grimy
(When you iron dirty pants 'til them shits get shiny)

[Chorus 2x]

[Sticky Fingaz]
Ghetto's not a place, it don't matter what color you are
You can be white as chalk or as black as tar
And it really don't matter how much money you have
(You can live on Fifth Ave. and be ghetto fab)
You know you ghetto when your soap is the size of a chiclet
Run into the kitchen wet for dishwashin liquid
The water cold cause they shut off all your power
(You know you ghetto if you pee in the shower)
No toilet paper, somebody used the last you had
No problem, just get a Daily News or a paper bag
Ball it up and crumble it, make it soft in your ass
(But when you flush, the toilet always gets stocked up)
And if you got the money, the landlord never get it
We never pay the rent, yo we almost got evicted
If this shit is funny or offendin you
(Chances are, it's because you're ghetto too)

[chorus 2x]

Can you be rich and be ghetto (3x)
And if you gotta ask then you'll probably never know
Ghetto
East Coast is the ghetto
West Coast is the ghetto
South Side is the ghetto
Everywhere is the ghetto
The ghetto
The ghetto
The ghetto
I'll probably die, in the ghetto..

As much as I love my hometown it has resorted to having an entire downtown area that caters to the 19-21 year old american crowd.

Because of that, all the bars are full of teenagers who can't hold their booze, come over have no respect fot the country, its citizens, or its laws.
There are fights and problems 10 fold of what there is here.

There may be some problems here, but it is good compared to some places.

actually i find toronto has become more and more like windsor recently. Back int he day oullette was always on lockdown at 2 am much like richmond st is today.

Exactly. Greed has overcome humanity in the battle, that's the saddest part. I heard that a 12 year old girl got stabbed at an all ages event on Friday.... and the club owner apparently kicked her out instead of helping, WTF?

The club district is a trash hole now, sad to say but I don't feel any need to go there nor would I ever give the advice for anyone to. I've said this once and I'll say this again to all the TA's; Viva might not have the biggest area, the biggest name, the biggest DJ's or the 'best looking people on a Friday night'. But, what you do get is Free parking, Great DJ's who if you are patient are almost guarenteed to meet, awesome lasers, awesome sound system, plenty of room to dance but most importantly SAFETY. I don't think any club downtown can honestly put that on their resume and I think it will be a while until one of them can.

Viva might have that but they also have an incredibly rude staff and their dance floor is disgusting to dance on, the bottom of my shoes are covered in gum and other filth from friday night.

Also I had been bothered a few times by various, weird, asian men, which made me and a few friends rather uncomfortable.

This isn't meant to be offensive, but if you were in one of the more "infamous" clubs downtown, you'd feel lucky being back at Viva.

Most dance floors are disgusting to dance on, unless it's a lounge type of establishment where there isn't much dancing going on.

As for the "weird asian men", they're all on E, and they're generally happy and goofy. You may feel uncomfortable, but realistically they generally don't do anything except provide comedy relief .

I've never been to Viva, but someone said "viva is just like guv, except A LOT more asians" that's saying a lot itself in my opinion.

I have zero problems with asians but...you got these 40+ year old asians that make up a of good portion of the people in the main room; that honestly kills the mood for me.But it's not like I hang around the main room much anymore anyway; unless it's a special event.

no, its actually very farfetched. New York City has double the population of Toronto, and nearly 4 times as many people if you count the suburban areas. Our yearly statistics on shootings probably represent a month of shootings for them. This is another problem in Toronto; everyone wants to think that we're New York, when we're not even close to it. Our percentage of shootings is probably only a fraction of what happens in New York on a monthly basis.

Well I've been around weird goofy asian men for two years and the ones here tend to be a bit more aggressive.

Still I would not pay as much as they charge on a regular night to see resident DJs that don't even impress me, in a club that has no vibe unless the right people are there.

You need research the rates of these homicides between the two cities which is the only thing relevant.Start a few years back and watch the numbers grow - this isen't my opinion; it's a fact.
