quick question. the protein powder shit says that im supposed to mix it with cold water. obviously it tastes like ass. why is it that it doesnt say i can mix with milk. i'd think that would take 12352354125357764 times better. is there anything bad about mixing it with milk? ive been contemplating this for awhile and i always dread the end of a workout when i have to make that shake. its the worst 5 second chug ever.

For the most part, they are suggesting that you mix it with cold water because A) being that it is water, it has no solutes in it and the protein should dissolve better; not leaving any chunky crap and B) people generally prefer cold water over warm - the manufacturer wants you to have the best experience with their product so they suggest a method of use that they hope will give the user the best experience with the product. That way you'll use it again and again.
Other than that, you may get a little better absorption with water than milk and also feel a little less bloated.

yeah that makes sense. i dono.. i think i might just try it with milk for awhile. it tastes so bad and its so thin and watery (obviously) with water. if its not gonna fuck with the chemicals and not work or something then fuck it...

Nah, it really comes down to preference; it won't make the protein any less effective.
I found that the absolute most enjoyable way to fix a protein shake is in a blender. Add two servings of the powder, a tray of ice cubes, and two cups of milk. Blend it up and it comes out delicious - a serving for now and one for later. I always made two servings because it was so friggin' time consuming with the blender and clean up and all that. That's the only downside to it.

that sounds damn good. i dont have a blender but me and a friend and a few girls are moving into a house and i'm sure a blender will be an essential purchase.
