This was a very one sided game and Germany deserves to go through.
Germany opened up this game very good and they scored 2 goals on 12 minutes which is extremely effective
Lucic got his second yellow card in the 35th minute of the game and we lost one of our most essential players, because a replacement to Lucic is going to be hard to find in the future as he probably ends his career at the NT.
Germany had a extremely good attack today and they got the chance to shoot outside the box to many times. But that was it, they were a lot better today and won this game comfortably.
We had a good chance before Henrik Larsson missed the penalty, but when he missed it, we all knew that our chance had become more than minimal, non existent.
I'm just glad we made it through this far, and playing against Germany on their own turf is just difficult enough. I always thought Germany would make it through far, and they're starting to move.
Germany:
Goalkeeper: He was safe even though he should've taken the shot from Zlatan better. But still very secure.
Defence: They played well today, even though the penalty was a little clumpsy. Not that impressing, but still their weakest link.
Midfield: Played great today, and the attacking midfielders had a lot of chances to score on, but they didn't manage to get a ball in though.
Attackers: Podolski scored two goals, Klose played very well and won almost every single duell in the air.
Sweden:
Goalkeeper: By far the best player in this game, had very many saves today and was holding Germany back from totally humiliate Sweden.
Defence: This is where we lost the game, unfortunately we were lost here and the Germans were effective as always when the chances were given in the box.
Midfield: Was way to slow today, and they need to improve much. Fredrik Ljungberg is probably the only player I would give some credit together with Linderoth even though he had a horrible game.
Attack: Zlatan was pretty much ok, and took intiative and passed to Henrik who was brough down, and a penalty was given. Henrik on the other hand missed the penalty, and missed a couple of chances in the beginning.
Congrats to Germany and Good Luck!
