Tiesto started as a DJ, not even a Trance DJ. Nice he mentions Ben Liebrand. Probably the best remixer ever and the inspiration for Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, DJ Dano, Olav Basoski and many, many other DJ's. Best know for his Grandmixes (with robot voice at the beginning).

Biggest respect for Tiesto for keeping his feet on the ground and remaining a nice guy. I trully believe he wants to enjoy as many people as possible. What's wrong with that? And if playing more commerial is needed for this I don't blame him for doing so.

Haha I didn't see that either because I put Carl Cox as mine. But if it were a trance DJ, seems like Christopher Lawrence is, because I hardly hear people bash him. And if people are really into hypnotic stuff, then he's the guy. As far as more melodic or epic trance DJs, thats hard but I think Ferry Corsten seems to get a lot of respect both as a DJ and a producer. I've never seen him live, missed him three times because I have stupid parents that freak out if I want to go to Detroit alone (where all of the big names play) but from all indications, he is an all around good guy and great DJ. Yeah there's people that bash his older productions (like the whole "Trance is Dead, Ferry Corsten killed it), but he's been tremendously influential, even today with his electro tinged sound. People catch on, and he's definitely a trend setter, whether people like that trend or not.

Please make sure the DJs you list can make three transitions in a row without trainwrecking.
