I just got the beatport newsletter, Tiesto has some new releases, his "Tube" EP I think it's called. I am listening to them now, I'm not that impressed. It doesn't inspire me at all. This is Trance?
that tube ep is the worst piece of music i've ever heard

The Tube is from 1996, so it's hardly the direction the genre is going.
This is a new release from Bonzai dated 8/15/06, and it's listed under progressive trance. It must be a rerelease, or a remix then? What's up with that? Can't find any info on it.
there really isn't money in music unless your a star of course and have been producing for years like tiesto ,paul oakenfold ,Bruno Magli ,etc.
if you put out quality stuff for a good while and some label likes your stuff then youll see some money of course ,but not right away.

the re-release is part of bonzai's digital releasing schedule of old tracks that a lot of people never got the chance to own

dude u are in this for the wrong reasons...... it shouldnt matter about money.... as tiesto said it takes 10years of hardwork to get to the top... if you sell out at the first chance of a deal then u might get alittle money but not much if u hold out until you can program in your sleep then you can do well..
you have to have an orginal sound to make alot of money.... you have to be true to your self. a few mates have got a deal and are get about £1000 a release which is good but they are under alot of pressure to produce music....its can easily turn from love to work...they are only 20 and are still learning.
my advice is get 5years under your belt then take stuff to label...for two reason one you will a good producer and know how a piece of music works and not rely on a good day to write a killer tune and two when you get a deal you have alot of tunes you can fall back on.. instead of scratching ure head and all future releases sounding the same.

Thank you. It all makes sense now They need a genre called "classic Trance", instead of listing it under progressive trance.
