This is long overdue for me...and if I wait any longer I'm afraid I'll forgot about the whole night....NOT! Like I mentioned before: BEST summer weekend!
So round 2 was more of a mission than round 1 on friday. After predancing at home in my room (w00t!) I decided, last minute, to hit up Gallery with Mandy and Dave. Tried to save the sweat and energy for Sonic, but alas, it was an impossible task. After nagging Katarina to death, her, Mandy and I arrived at Sonic and waited in line for a good 20 minutes. The anticipation was rising; I could feel the bass through the walls as it vibrated to my balls. Managed to get in around 2:30 am without any problems thankfully! Walking up those steps to my home, I was expecting a good turnout, but I definately did not expect to see it incredibly packed. WOW. I was excited, yet intimidated. I had never seen so many members of the CWC in one room! It was a shirtless jungle! I loved it; totally suited the night, especially for Calderone and Miller's sleazy sets. Quite a bit of rudeness, and alot of hornyness, but the crowd was pretty good. I noticed a slight improvement to the sound and I had to find Carey to tell him how delighted I was. It was very hot, but it was due to the amount of body heat being exposed. When there are less than 100 people, the place is COLD!..which means that there actually is air conditioning present. After meeting and greeting during Miller's pretty good set, I ran to the dancefloor in time for Calderone. So.Much.Fun. I rarely checked the time, and before I knew it, it was closing time! At times, I had to take breaks, since the heat was a little bit overwhelming, but I successfully gave it my all. Chilled for most of the day afterwords until I decided to go home and pass out.
I only caught a little bit of Miller's set, but it was good shit. Definately a great opener for tribal deejays. Like I mentioned before...As soon as I found out Calderone was on, I flew to the dancefloor like a hawk. After all the hype I was READY. Give it to me!! Did he ever.... After about 20 minutes, I was already going insane. I felt more like a monkey than a clown. The tribaliciousness was 100% delciousness!!! I tried to push the OFF button on my ass to calm down, but instead pushed the OVERDRIVE button! Because of this foolish incident, my ass, limbs, and head were flying in all directions! Dum da da dum da da dum da da dum! Helllllp meeeee. The place became a hunting ground for tribal warriors. Calderone was much better than I had anticipated, and I was drenched with sweat the whole night, even 7 hours after Sonic. Tribal GOD WTF! You guys weren't kidding. Mixing was great, and the tracks were awesome. They were so good that there were no OMG moments, except for once or twice...once was when Miluska and Karina arrived...and at the same time Miluska and I heard our song...our monkey song...
Voicesssssss inside my headddd....Eccchoes!! <3
Africanism All Star - Voices
PERFECT timing! I love you Calderone! At that moment, me and my little monkey partner went crazy. Now I remember why I miss her so much. Tall & Small Team! There were a few other awesome moments, especially at the back where all the TAs were going mental I decided to join in for some lovin' I heard an older tune that I recognized from some old Tenaglia sets but I couldn't ID it. Graham you know which tune...it was golden! 9 am tunes were amazing...why? That bitch played some minimal techno mixed with tribal!! I heard a very supped up extra electrosexual version of
Royksopp - What Else Is There (Trentemoller Remix)
and also the already mentioned tribalish version of
Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso - Click
Wow...had some fun dancing to that one. Too much fun that I had to rest a while after. But, before I could, Calderone drops my favourite summer tune of 2005..
Deux - Sun Rising Up (Frank Garcia Remix)
HOLY bananas! ! There's so much I can say, but I won't write a book here lol. I was impressed deeply, and I was in love, and I didn't want to go home.
Awesome seeing the troopers out, props to the ones who made it til the end! There's no one else I'd want to share my love of tribal with. <3 to my clowns...it was a 2/2 ratio for once...Myself, Dave, Miluska, and the newest member of the crew...Amanda! You passed the test babe I had an amazing time dancing off with my partners. And Lars and Kels, thank you for those megafun danceoffs! It was an awesome challenge and we should definately do it again!
Nada, that was dedicated to you I'm sure Lars already told you. We had to make the most of it! <3
Amanda, loved the outfit, and I'm glad we spent over 18 hours together! Cribbyclown and Harleclown!
Funny moment of the night:
Hilary - Where's my brother?
Me - He's right in front of you.
LOL.
I get ridiculous comments all the time, but this time it was hilarious. Some shirtless tall dark dude comes up to me and says "You're very bouncy. I like the way you bounce." LMAO...WTF? So, because I can't keep my feet on the ground I'm bouncy? Boing boing
Wouldn't trade this night for anything. Good fucking times. Next up C&C! or is it...Danny T? :O |
