One of the reasons i've been so into trance over the years is that it is more emotional than some other forms of EDM. It does have a tendency to over-do it sometimes, but there is no denying that some of the most emotional releases have come from the trance side of things, as well as the progressive house as well. A few emotional tracks to check out....
Hydra - Affinity (Thrillseekers Dub)
Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Mark Otten - Mushroom Therapy (Lightscape Mix), Crossroads (Rio Addicts)
Kalafut & Fygle - 3579 KM, Lullaby, Astra, Novocaine (Mark Otten Remix)
Accadia - Blind Visions (Original Club Mix) and (Ambient Mix)
Tastexperience - Summersault
Hooligan - Hear You Now (Grand Chillas Mix) (more prog than trance, but very emotional)
Illuminatus - Hope (a classic)
Humate - Love Simulation (Oliver Lieb Remix)
Envio - Touched By The Sun, Time To Say Goodbye, For You
Digital Witchcraft - Fingerpaint (prog breaks, but a very melodic, emotional piano melody)
Chicane - Leaving Town, Halcyon, No Ordinary Morning, Early,
Micro de Govia - Vital Spark, Aura Indigo, Voller Sterne, Dayturn
Saltwater (Thrillseekers Ambient Mix)
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Atlantis Mix) and (Armin van Buuren Remix) (of course....probably the ultimate emotional track IMO)
a bunch of others....but these are what I think...when I think "Emotional"....almost like trance-mood music. |
Thank you for sharing your emotional track. My fav em track is Mark Otten - Tranquility (original mix). Mark otten rocks

i partially agree with this. productions nowadays actually sound much better. better sound effects, percussion, cleaner sounds, pretty much well-produced. i think a major problem nowadays is that many of these up-coming producers understand the production aspect of music, but really have no musical background or understanding of theory. now some people might disagree and say you don't need any of that, but i honestly feel that is what's lacking in so many productions nowadays. i've read through several threads on ta, where our own producers who write some well-produced tracks, admit to their lack of theory and music backgrounds and you can clearly hear it in their tracks.
