Oh, and there are absolutely NO generalizations in this post whatsoever

I totally forgot about this party.
I am still working on this one. I know a friend of mine is planning the trip down for sure.
With BeB, Chicago for Sven, DEMF, Amsterdam and NYC planned for this year, I don't know if I can afford to do another trip. Even if it is just for a weekend.
Sorry Nick! Although I really wanna be there with you to experience this.. lol

I dont know if it has been mentionned...
but James Holden fans should look for his coverage in MIXMAG (december 2006)... definitely one of the best interview I read in ages... important for me to try to get to know dj/artist i enjoy...
(will try to see if i can post it...)
I will never forget first time i heard "Nothing" in Stereo played by Jimmy Van M... to go to the booth so shy and ask who is this? to Brad Copeland standing there...and hear "James Holden... he plays here next friday".. and to recognize the magic track one week later...
I will definitely try to go out to hear him again...

If you think you will hear tracks like nothing, you will be disappointed....
.....or happy, depending on your musical evolution.

LOL. Of course, i do not expect to hear "Nothing" anymore.. I play it at home when i want to do so... "Nothing" was my introduction to James Holden a couple of years ago... I also catched him at Aria last time he was here...
Now... i guess i should talk of "The idiots are winning"...

His DJ sets dont really sound like the tracks featured on "the idiots are winning", but yes, that would be closer to his actual sound.
If you want a good idea of what a James Holden set can sound like, you should download his set @ Sonnemondsterne 2006
