The Epic Battle
O’er the valley don the foggy haze fell, Yes a battle would be held this day. Not o’er freedom or peace, not o’er citizenship or even love.
This battle, epic as a battle could be was o’er satisfaction.
Two sides were never so evenly matched as these two who ruled over the valley don.
On one side King J-O-N, a ravishing blue eyed chap, thought he had the answer for supreme satisfaction.
Then his rival, evil prince Car-Ney, who thumbed his nose at the fair king.
So on this foggy morning, the two leaders lead their two forces to line the hill tops along the valley don.
King J-O-N rode through the streets and called his followers to the fight.
“Line up your troops, we’re going to war!”
Car-Ney, quieter by nature took his battle position knowing he had the secret weapon at hand.
And there they stood, two armies, united in desire, divided in belief.
King J-O-N rode his horse to the middle and his troops followed.
Car-Ney’s evil minions began to charge inwards, but low and behold J-O-N had a trick.
A giant flag he raised, which stopped the forces of Car-Ney dead in their tracks.
For the flag had a checkered pattern so beautiful it had frozen them.
This was their satisfaction.
It appeared as though the king had won for there was little movement amongst Car-Ney’s troops.
But low and behold the prince himself remained standing.
From his pocket he pulled a ghetto blaster, black with gray speakers that matched the sky, and suddenly everything stopped.
The king’s beautiful checkered flag fell down as the sweet rhythms of Benny poured out of the blaster.
Troops on both sides started dancing and King J-O-N ran to Prince Car-Ney and they embraced in a heart filled grasp.

-updated, two more lines to go, who wants to finish the epic battle?

Here it is in all its glorious fullness...

AND CARNEY LOOKED AT THE KING AND SAID.....
