Your right, it's generally the US that sees this problem. I went up to Vancouver a couple times, I went to the malls and out to dinner and walked the streets with my friends, not once can I recall seeing some kid who dressed up like a rapper, or gangster. People really dressed well, and I witness this in any country outside of the US that I've been to.

Or if people don't see it in the US where they live, I saw it a lot in my school, the majority of the kids were white, suburban living. My statements are only observations to what I saw.

Music is a good escape for some people who live a s*itty existance. Some music can play a certain influence over a certain lifestyle like over here with two step we had huge problems people being shot at events etc. The scene got hijacked by people from the underworld of British cities who would always wind up meeting someone who they had vendetta with at an event.

Musics a poor scapegoat to blaim for crime or people living a deviant lifestyle. Every city, town, and village has it's minority of idiots who take things a step above everyone else. If somethings popular and attracts people you'll always get someone who's not all there liking like that music.

With Rap it's quite a difficult arguement a majority of the artists who make the music coming from areas infested with poverty and crime yet it's a very popular and liked by a wide spectrum of people. If some kid who lives in a decent area takes up that life style their parents need to seriously question where they went wrong bring up that child.

There will always be witchhunts involving music. Like the 60's - 70's Religious ministers play Led Zepplin - Stairway to Heaven backwards see in a warped voice it says worship satan!

Back in the late 1980's when Acid House scene emerged in the UK they used to think it was some secret satanic cult of some kind. Watch this video of mass panic hyped by the media back in 1980's hilarious stuff.
