Yes thats exactly what i have in mind.
Can't you see i was trying to find a good way to make something good for everyone. If people don't agree, well that's just a natural thing. After all this is a forum were people is supposed to discuss about things and i didn't expect myself to be right from the very begining anyway.
It was more about making people realize there is a way to discuss this matter on a serious level instead of making ironic, sarcastic or otherwise silly replies.
house never invaded trance,,,it was here way before trance. i find that i can dance more to house. its just more of a popular sound amongst edm listeners right now.

If this was a trance only forum people would listen to nothing but trance. But since its open to all types of EDM people get in touch with different styles and that in the long run is just healthy.
If you want nightmare comparisons just go over at trance.nu where people don't know any DJs besides Tiesto and AvB. You'll come across people there who believes trance was found by Tiesto in Holland in the year 1999.
I believe in: widening your musical horizon = good for everyone
Hm, yes that's correct. Didn't really think of that.
I also believe trance isn't discussed as much as it used to be, because it's just a shadow of its former self atm.

that's the very reason to why trance isn't discussed as it was a few years ago.
Trance is no longer properly separated from other genres. That is the main reason why everyone thinks it gets "invaded".
Trance is now a mix of Indie, House, Techno, House, Electro and ... Trance.

house is catchier, therefore is listened to more, making it the more viable EDM flavor.

When did indie and electro mix with trance? Must have missed that one.

Indie: some cover versions of well known arists (Depeche mode, for example)
Electro: for example: "Djuma Soundsystem - Les Djinns (Trentemoller remix)", Trentemoller productions, Ferry Corsten - LEF (the whole album), etc...

Depeche Mode isn't indie, and Trentemoller and Ferry Corsten are nowhere close to electro.

I think what Whirloop is trying to say, is that Music Discussion is gradually being taken over by people who have moved on, who barely listen to trance anymore. They are the ones who immediately invade threads about Armin, Sean Tyas or any other popular bloke to tell everyone how bad these artists really are. I'm aware not everyone acts that way, but I did notice some people have the tendency to reply in nearly every thread that is trance related and don't have anything positive to say most of the time. There are days when I feel like these people are suffocating the forum, are trying too hard to convert the members who have just gotten into trance. Whirloop was merely pointing out that the balance should be straightened out again.
In other words: don't be an attention whore, let things go their way...

This forum introduced me to albums such as
Nathan Fake - Drowning in a Sea of Love
Ellen & Apparet - Orchestra of Bubbles
Booka Shade - Movements.
Had it been segregated into genres, I would never have found albums such as these because I wouldn't have bothered to look at anything else other than trance and techno.
So thank god TA is as diverse as it is in one section.
Like others have said, if you want a trance only section then go to Trance.nu and then come here for other stuff. I really don't see what the problem is...
