Sonic had it coming....
Changing the original format became Sonic's nemesis...
An empty club doesn't make the coins that sustain the business...
It was obvious from the beginning what Sonic was meant to be:
A place where white, black, asian, straigh, gay, bi, fat, anorexic, fashionista, preppie, sweaty dancer or standy-by chin-stroker would go with one goal in mind: DANCING...
To those of you close-minded whiners who made this goal impossible, you should be proud: Fait Accompli!

I'm surprised Sonic lasted almost a year.
It was a failed business model, and a lotta dreams, but honestly, it was virtually impossible to make that place work.
First of all, they spent a shitload on the sound and we had David Morales running his mouth saying, "my name is money". Well, apparently not.
The pricepoint was way too high on locals, and even higher for international talent. They kinda fixed it near the end, but too little too late.
At the start, they only had Saturdays happening and for a club to be open 4 nights a week, while paying rent every day of the month, and no alcohol, it was a recipe for disasters. They should have at least tried to rent out the space during the day (I know not for corporate events, but what about dance classes, or something like that). To be paying rent monthly but being open 4 nights a month, that is a recipe for loss...and how!
There's the rumour that INK bought the place, but we'll see if Victor Storm is right.
I know for a fact that Nevio from Sonic has been talking to some heavy hitters in the club scene in the past two weeks about investing into the place.
They clearly need booze, so that's where the catering/alcohol license comes in. (Look at Muzik Saturdays...no license other than the week to week catering license and they are making retarded money.) If Sonic can get a "clean name" to get a weekly catering license....it could do alright...not every week has to be licensed...so there is a big way around the no license thing...
Should be interesting to see what happens!!!
