I can imagine how, if some of these tracks were stripped of vocals and called Oliver Lieb productions (under his Solieb) alias, the response would be significantly better. |
Except if Oliver had made these tracks, he'd probably have hung himself in the shame by now.
What a useless post.

in the last 7 years, how many of the top 10 djs (according to dj mags x-factor contest) have produced a really solid artists album?
to think of, maybe only tri-state for me comes close.
the likes of armin, pvd, tiesto (who admitibly ive never been a fan of since the 90s) etc etc... just dont seem to make an album thats really worth all the effort. why not stick to churning out mix compilations and get a regular monthly wedge off ministry of sound?
with these guys its more about quantity(of cash) than quality(of music).
it just seems the current fashion for EDM artists/djs to put out an artist album which in reality most barely deserve to be called an E.P
i dont think ill be checking this one out, the pirates mix especially, really doesnt make me feel like considering parting ways with Ģ14.99 and like anything in life, if it needs so much hype and corporate bullsh*te to promote it then 9 times out of 10 its crap.

Exactly. I was thinking it reminded me of something else except Adagio, it's Eden. | Uhh and eden isn't ripped of something else
To make clear, I hate the track EOL, but its bullshit to compare it to Eden. Because thats is one of the biggest ripped of tracks in the last years.
I Like 10 Seconds Before Sunrise and Sweet Things, I love Everything (maybe its because it got old sounds in it, but yeah its used very wisely so what?), Do you feel me (alltho I liked the old version he was playing some months ago more, and yes this is inspired by the big minimal neo trance hype, so what? again used wisely and with some special style vocals that you dont hear normaly on top off tracks like that).
The tracks that have some potentional but just need some extra work, Carpe Noctum (this could have been such a cool track, not it sounds like a toned down tech house version of Traffic ), Break My Fall (I like the old style inspired trippy tech beat, but the whole picture of the track is just not finished). Bright Morningstar, was the freaking twinkle killer in Tijs his sets some time ago, now it seemed BT went over it with a dozen of his glitchy twinkle floating effects and it just doesn't sounds like it used to be, it feels to full and misses the groove it had before.. but still the melody is good!
Driving To Heaven is just a breath out moment on the album, nothing very special, but it's not bad either. Somehow I first hated In The Dark and I know like it, offcourse it's very poppy rock and the strings at the back are like from 100s of old trancers from a few years ago, but it just has something after more listens, I can't explain..
And yeah Elements Of Life, I really don't have a clue what he was doing there...the worst track he ever produced!
The album got 2 nice updates of the D4L and Pirates track, they sounds way better now, still no favourites but they are quite ok this way.
