this was an awesome event, it was great seeing everyone having such a great time. armin was def on top of his game and surprisingly in his entire 6hr set there wasn't a single track i remember hearing that i disliked. although not the original, hearing children blew me away, it was like hearing silence; that was just awesome.
spent the beginning of the night with some other TAs staking our claim front and center but after a couple hours the crowd got to be too much. at the perfect time i saw some TAs in a vip area on the floor and thanks to mike for inviting us into the little vip area you got with daphna and a few others. it was great hanging out there toward the end of the night mainly cause of the people and their high energy levels. i also loved that someone continuously refilled the karafe of water cause i really needed that to sober up for work the next day . anyhow, armin closed out with marching bands of manhattan (blake jarrell's pacha nyc remix)and i was so happy cause that's one of my favorite tracks right now. hopefully they'll find an opportunity to bring him to the city soon.
also gerard and andrew: that whole being stuck in that snow thing was an experience all in itself somewhat comical but at least you got out! |
Blake sent that track via IM to Jason Evan (who was with us in the "VIP Box") right before we left Philly; so he had to get it to Armin!! Thankfully he did... was naiiice I laik!
