i think we're all missing the main issue here. the original poster is from norwich, connecticut. a boring ass borderline small city/large town close to both the connecticut coastline and the rhode island border, that seems to be important in eastern connecticut because it's the only slight population center there. that being said, who gives a fuck what him & his ignorant townie friends think? they obviously haven't met many people from many places, and it shows, so their loss.

that being said... i'm a guy who dates guys & girls (i refuse to call myself bisexual, or anything else either) but this has nothing to do with the fact that i'm into EDM. i'm into EDM because of where i grew up and everything i associate with it, and the huge passion i then developed from there. i guess being half queer is just a coincidence lol... and like jake (looks like youre back from WMC huh?? get in touch with me and let me know how it all went!! ) and cobalt, i don't mention it all over the place, i don't even like talking about it cos it's not important in the grand scheme of things (but then if you don't, you're "avoiding" it, it's a catch 22)... my good friends even forget that i'm half queer because i never talk about it, and i guess my southern accent and somewhat deep voice helps too lol... but that's another story...

oh, and gay culture blows. it's just a bunch of flamers ruining it for the rest of us.

TBH I've never heard of electronic music being associated with gay guys. Apart from pop dance like Pet shop boys and Madonna. My guess is its just the media trying to stop it from being populer and ppl getting shit scared its gonna be more populer then rock (or pop obviously).

It did turn into a good point though - people can be pretty ignorant. The sooner you stop giving a damn about their ridiculous, small minded opinions, the better off you'll be.

On a plus note, every year people's attitude's seem to lessen regarding the topic, and the atmosphere in general seems less stuffy as a result.

People don't realize the bad vibes they send when they say stupid shit like "trance is gay/for fags", instead of just keeping silent, or sending good vibes. Eventually, everyone's miserable and mean and the world's a shithole (oh wait, damn!). The people who thought they were protecting their family and future from the dangerous homoseuxal scourge, instead have given their children the gift of an unstable world filled with poison and nastiness.

How's that for family values, eh?
