In reply to the request for a scot project base i know roughly hows its made. Its all done with envelopes. Have a base being played every beat and have it being held on for the length of that beat. Then get the sound as dirty as possibly, white noise, the lot. Then you gota use the envelope for the filter. Wack up the attack, this is key, it has to be exactly the right amount of attack so the sound peaks on the off-beat. Then drop the release and sustain down to zero and use the decay so the sound has decayed all the one down by the end of the beat and the start of the next bass note. Both of this values have to be just right or it sounds shit but get it right and youve got a right scot project bass. Also do a similar thing with the amp envelope, if the sound needs to be more punchy stick some compression over it.
