As someone said before....to get those really really good leadsounds...layer your synths..

when i do my leads in reason i often have at least 4 or 5 synths going at the same time to make that phat sound

In this sample (Part of a remix of unity of earth by airbase) i used 5 synths (mainly jp8000 synth and ppg from reason) to create the sound....well i think you get the point anyway =)

what i would love to recreate is those Ayla synths...espec. the one in ANgelfalls (radio cut)....damn those are really nice....

does anyone have a clue to wich hardwaresynths they use in their songs so i know where to start?

believe me....I'm working on it...have been for a very long time now but it's so damn hard coz i don't have a clue to wich synths they are using so i don't know where to start

ohh btw trancevision....that awakening sample was awesome!

and another tip for all of you using reason out there (this might work in other programs 2 but i only work with reason so i really don't know)

stack many delayeffectors on eachother...for example: if you use one delay with the setting of 3 steps and another delay with 6 steps you get a nice echo effect wich sounds a little more special then that regular all day fading echo

What you do is,

Load Reason, add the rebirth input machine.. then load rebirth.. the 2 progs will sync and you now have some nice live 808's, 909's, and 303's to fuck around with

In reply to the request for a scot project base i know roughly hows its made. Its all done with envelopes. Have a base being played every beat and have it being held on for the length of that beat. Then get the sound as dirty as possibly, white noise, the lot. Then you gota use the envelope for the filter. Wack up the attack, this is key, it has to be exactly the right amount of attack so the sound peaks on the off-beat. Then drop the release and sustain down to zero and use the decay so the sound has decayed all the one down by the end of the beat and the start of the next bass note. Both of this values have to be just right or it sounds shit but get it right and youve got a right scot project bass. Also do a similar thing with the amp envelope, if the sound needs to be more punchy stick some compression over it.

Did that make ne sense?
