I remember seeing a heavier-set guy at a Sasha & Digweed show once, he seemed like he wanted to dance but just stood there the whole time. I don't see why you would be embarrassed to dance though, everyone else is doing their own thing and half or more are all fucked up so they really wouldn't care. Lots of people at these shows are pretty chill people. Not to say none of them aren't judgmental but I think its safe to say that most aren't.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I think I'll go when the time comes around. A lot of mixed opinions here, but thats better than all negative. Thanks again.

Honestly, go. If you're looking for somewhere where people are going to be accepting of you regardless of appearance/dress/race/whatever, an edm party is the best place. Most people are really open minded and friendly, and those that aren't have probably been popping pills like they're M&M's all night anyway. So go along, dance to some good music, meet new people and have fun.

And honestly, if you're this insecure about your weight, you should probably look into losing some of it, if you aren't already. Being big is one thing, but if you're honestly considering letting it do something like stop you going to a party you'd enjoy because you're insecure about your appearance, it's probably time to do something about it.

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.
