Good quesiton. I dunno, like at the Zone? The rules aren't posted (ha, wouldn't it be funny if they were!! shanny?), but it appears that all stakeholders have a general understanding of how things operate. Cross the line, and there are consequences. It may be a zoo, but it is not total anarchy.
I have ZERO understanding of how the clubs in Ibiza operate, but it appears that one or more stakeholders (e.g. police, politicians, locals, etc.?), for whatever reason, were not happy. Hence the bust and the temporary closures. |
To put it into perspective for you, it terms of safety, rules, boundries, all that stuff....clubs in Ibiza make clubs in Toronto look like a complete joke. The risk/safety factor at places like the guv, or comfort zone is much greater than in Ibiza. The rules and boundries that they have in place there are perfect. It truly is the clubber's dream environment.
IMO, this whole shutting down of the clubs thing has crooked written all over it. At any time, in almost any large club in the world the police could lock the place down and search everyone in there and get pretty much the same results in terms of drug possession. Given the ubsurd amount of money that clubs in Ibiza make....I think there is some writing between the lines here. Especially in a country like Spain.
