So like I said depending on if your an NCM or Officer and your rank, you probably make at least $50,000 a year but most likely more. And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

Also, Trance IS NOT JUST FORMED OF TIESTO ARMIN OR FERRY, stop spewing the handful of mainstream names you know off the bat and calling that the Trance Genre.
Although I do believe that those mainstream names did help skyrocket the genre's popularity among the non-EDM lovers as well.

Yes i Know that u were talking about embracing all genre but my point was that it's a little ironic that someone who loves a genre that is completly self centered and do not want to be influenced by anything comes and says that.

Other than that, What is trance to you, educate me, this might be fun

I just dont get this, like Kinker said, many people started listening to trance, even our beloved artists like Sasha & Digweed were progressive trance in the old days

so if someone likes trance first, let them be, in 2-3 years they'll like the Steve Lawlers, etc.. and embrace people who can actually mix, but give them a chance....

I understand when people bash tiesto cause he really cant mix, or isnt great at it, but these mainstreamers bring people who listen to 50 cent and Britney Spears, into the EDM scene (most of us on this board were listen to EDM all our lives, when i was 11: Dance Maching 3rd Gear hahahh - flying to the moon! )

Anyways almost everybody loves tiesto and/or trance at the beginning like i did, and many of you did (don't be hard asses and admit it) but if these guys didnt open up the door the scene esp the tech-house scene and trippy shit that sick would be small...

Imagine bringing a friend who doesnt even know one EDM song, and bringing him/her to see Fake, or Holden, or some artist like that, they would think we are all on crack....

Music tastes grow.....

OMG !!!

YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BITCH ABOUT ANYTHING ANYMORE !!

I am not sure whether this is pure ignorance or an attempt at teh funney, so I will explain it to you (and also I will be nice because you make me laugh when you lol @ trancecrackers.)

You obviously dont know trance very well (which is not something you will regret when death comes)

But "early 90's german trance" and "dutch-supersaw-buildup-30minbreakdown-hands in the air-jesus pose-2 days long drum roll" are two very different things

The first is what the nu-trance movement (which is almost over already) is trying to renew

The second is crap, and most trance djs have played those tracks for the past 10 years. I mean, come on, For Angel (2005,2006,2007 mix) wtf ?? Trance obtained pretty much its peak with System F - Exhale.

Whatever, keep throlling, you're funny

Completely false. But such statement, you prove that you dont know much about EDM

EDM is happy hardcore, IDM, Rap (the first EDM), electro (the real electro, such as Afrikaa Bambaata and Kraftwerk and Anthony Rother), it is house, it is UK garage, it is trance, it is speedcore

You're going to tell me you like all this ?

Ya, I thought so too

edit: and please, dont give me the "I ownz an internet radio i knows about ze edms i owns lolzzz". Everyone and their grandmother have an internet radio now. The statement you have made shows that you dont know much about edm, so i you want to prove me wrong, please dont rely on the argument i just destroyed.

I'm happy with Trance being the way it is, some people like a sense of continuity. "Don't fix it if it ain't broken".. if I wanna listen to something else that is ifluenced by other things I'll go listen to House or minimal or wtv..

And just for the record, it was never Trance that got me into the scene. If fact, the very first EDM artist I discovered was John Digweed <3333, then Danny Howells, then Sasha etc...I listened to Prog House for a loooong time before even allowing myself to dicover other EDM styles. Then I gave Techno and Trance a chance, and it was love...

I do believe I will always enjoy Trance/House/Techno about the same amount. And I'm happy with that.

I don't have to tell you why I love Trance, I just do. K?
And I'm sure you know enough about it so no need to "educate" you, for I am in no way, shape or form trying to convince you that it's good or get you to like it. I just don't care.

I like Ketchup on my eggs, ever since I was little..WTF right?..well I can't explain to you why I like it, I just do. And you don't have to.

I dunno, I cant see it happening.

It's just a matter of time... did you see the crowd at Holden? That's exactly what I mean... he's crossing over into non edm geek worlds into worlds where people just know some names of artists and have completely different interests....

also

maybe its because the zabiela/fanciulli/svd arent that good... or dont make the crossover into the mainstream like others have and will.
