Yeah Brundle is good.
Although I can't remember James Hunt doing it back in the early 90s.

If you wanna see bad you should see the guys who used to do it for Channel 10 here in Aus, they used to use the local commentators for the Aus GP but the ITV guys for the others. The special comment guy, a guy called Crompton who used to drive touring cars sucks major balls for F1, he knew fuck-all. He'd say stuff and I would yell at the tv that he was wrong
Luckily he changed networks when the touring car series changed so he doesn't do F1 anymore, but the new guy isn't much better (current touring car driver).
Christ Crompton was an absolute wally though.

Over here we have a very old guy who knows a lot about F1 but is a bit slow at picking up things on screen, and is the opposite of those Speed guys, brings no enthusiasm. His partner last year in most races was Tiago Monteiro, who to my surprise was a great commentator! I hope he's there again this season.

Murray Walker & Martin Brundle on ITV FTW!!~

Murray was always gold - mildly senile for sure, but the passion was so very there.

Brundle and James Allen are quite good as well.

Shame I can't get the ITV feed here in NL - used to get it in Canada but the trade-off was watching most races at 07h30 every sunday morning

Yeah I noticed that towards the end of his career. He started missing stuff, and miscalling some events.

But, the way he built the volume in his voice, to match the building tension on the track was just perfect. Otherwise he just had the most relaxing voice there is.

James Allen was tolerable before there was a strong Brit in the pack.

Yeah, but because it was Murray everyone understood and loved the mis-calls. It was part of the charm. I remember one where he said a car was on fire and Brundle corrected him, saying it was the rain light lol

Since I've been living here in Holland (1 year this weekend!), I've been watching a lot of MotoGP since it's on live every race on Suday afternoons. The opening night race at Losail was amazing!!! So much more exciting than the latest F1 stuff. Tons of crazy passing, and the new crop of rookies is awesome.

I'll still watch F1, but F1 could learn a lot from how the bikes handle around each other (read: let them go nuts with the fun under-car aero and put some damn slicks back on)

I picked up watching MotoGP last year. Just downloaded Sunday's race, and have yet to watch. I know who won (), but that doesn't matter. We watch MotoGP for the passing. The guys are crazy. Drifting those bikes at those speeds, outrageous.

For some reason though, I just like watching F1 better. It maybe that I have just been following F1 for so long, and I know the teams, characters, and strategies. I know, part of it has to do with the sheer speed, the corner speed of the cars.

Maybe I will feel different about MotoGP in a few years.

Pole position prediction:
1. Kimi
2. Lewis
3. Massa

The race will probably be a 1-2 for Ferrari.

Just watched quali this year is going to be hugeeeeee. The rookies are fantastic especially Timo Glock, Kovalainen and Settel. Future stars of F1 outpacing some of the more experienced uh hum Alfonso.

Bad luck on Kimi fuel pump incident but im sure he will recover as Ferrari and McLaren have tremendous raw pace in their cars this year. Will be a very interesting race tomorrow.
