Not really. Atheists don't begin to talk about their beliefs/views until someone brings up religion. If anything, they'd be the last to bring up the topic of religion. That's not a door-to-door salesman.

I wouldn't say it's wrong (it's just a debate after all), but it's hardly, if ever, worth it. Most people enter the discussion trying to convince all other parties involved, instead of just analysing all ideas carefully in order to improve the belief system as a whole.
