You can even use the built-in browser to view a webpage natively. The problem is that most web pages werent meant to be viewed on a small screen. I actually prefer columnar view.

With the browser I use, it has a "smart-fit" option that just adds carriage returns for the spacing of the screen. It works very well.

How many times have I mentioned the iPhone that you constantly are stuck on? I will agree that it can be fucking disgusting if you have dirty hands, but the fingerprints don't get in the way, and clean off easily.

I have 6 keys I can change the assignment of.

Again, I wasn't only referring to the iPhone that you are stuck on. Windows Mobile and the iPhone OS were originally intended to allow developers to add to them.
| quote: | | True, but that really isnt RIMs fault, more the community. Plus there ARE several developers making apps.... moreso than for for our cuppertino friends. |
Wrong. It costs too much, the SDK is not free, and the API, while Java, doesn't allow access to things. This is something RIM has done, not the development community. Google Maps can't access the GPS units in them. If it was up to them, they WOULD have access to them.
| quote: | | That can be said about ANY phone... ESPECIALLY iphone! |
Not really. Price point has a HUGE effect of feature enhancements. Also, the experience a company has with making mobile phones, cramming in features, etc. can be heavily influenced by the clout a company has in the world market. HTC for example, has the largest presence in the world market for smartphones and pda phones alike. ALL of the branded T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, Alltel, O2, SoftBank, Dopod, and probably another 1000 other companies' PDA and smartphones running windows mobile are made by HTC. I will concede that the iPhone has caused a development storm within the market though.
| quote: | | Hmm... its close. My messages are organized by contact, and within that i can see our entire conversation. (going back by a definable number of messages). |
All my text messages are in a conversation. They are organized by contact, and you can scroll through all the messages. The immediate view shows a predefined number of messages, but has a link to go back and show the previous of that same predefined. You can continue to click the link to go back even farther.
| quote: | | Smile... 2 mpixel works fine for me when I dont have my canon. |
While you do have that, it is a new improvement. All others have had at least a camera, for years.
| quote: | | Ill give you that because I have never had need for remote desktop, and google maps integration is on googles head... not RIMs. |
The integration is not able to be done, as I previously mentioned, because of RIM's limited allowance to API calls that it would require, but are blocked.
| quote: | | I'm not saying the BB is the end-all be-all, but I dont think its as bad as you think it is. |
I don't personally think any type of phone is, but there are shit, good, and awesome implementations. Just like the Mac when it was a PPC based machine, had LOTS of raw power, but had such a shit implementation, that it ran and acted like shit.
| quote: | ::: Oh the world dont tuuuuuurrrnnnn, to the beat of just one drum... what might be right for you, may not be right for soooooooome..::

I totally agree with that. I can say the BB is good for one thing. If all you need is text email and it to do just that, then you are fine.
Also, to each their own. If you are happy, then more power to ya. I hate bb's but I won't force you to have my same view. I know I may come off that way, but I really do feel that if you are happy, then fine.
