You can catch the "L" train on 14th and 8th and go a couple stops to Union Square, which is the stop for Webster Hall.

Or you can also go to 14th and 8th (same station) and take the "A" train to West 4th to Love. Still, the cab ride is soo short you might as well pay the $5.
