i'm with you guys on the whole commuting to party thing. i've been doing the drive from hamilton to toronto for as long as i've been partying and it just doesn't seem worth it alot of the time anymore.

by no means am i out of the scene completely but i am extremely selective of the events that i go to. it also takes me alot to get excited to go out.

so for me, i don't think it's as much about the crowd or the scene changing as the fact that i'm just getting older.

Some people haven't even paid dues, aren't technically sound, etc. I don't want to hear someone that is hooked up spin, I want to see someone talented, or at the very least, someone who knows what they are doing... With the age of computers mixing for people and facebook invites it's only going to get worse in some aspects. People inviting me out to see so and so spin and I'm like "who?" And this person is one of the headliners??? In the same time, I think Toronto has a better (talking established wise) scene then New York and Montreal. I travel to Montreal often and am very up to date with New York, but we still have it better than those places right now. Pacha NYC, ugh...Millenium, Montreal...yikes...we at least have Guvernment and CiRCA...and look at October coming up...retarded, retarded parties on the agenda...

Actually I listen to all sorts of music from all sorts of cultures. I have a very extensive music background. I also have vast music knowledge and can read music.

I've listened to both Baba Zula and Mercan Dede, I actually went to the Mercan Dede show which was here in Toronto last year.

I am specifically reffering to the EDM scene not the actual music. I think people mis-understood.
