I don't want to be tied to email any more than I have to. Everyone I know with a Blackberry is attached at the hip to it - it's like a tool for obsessive-compulsives. I want a phone that can make calls, send texts, and serve as an alarm. The day I check my work email from my phone on the Metro is the day life has become too serious. |
I have to say... I can't agree more. I refuse to make the jump for the same reasons. Pretty much all of my friends have a blackberry or something of the like, and they are slaves to them. Some of them are degenerate gamblers too so they're also constantly checking updated sports scores and stats when we're out on a weekend.. annoys the shit out of me and when I see people I don't even know doing the same thing. I refresh my email inbox enough when I'm sitting in front of a regular computer... I can't imagine how much worse my curiosity would get if I had that convenience at my fingertips 24-7.
