Erm... just about all dance music is over 6 minutes in length, so this is a particularly redundant classification of structure. |

On the topic of why people like certain music and what goes down with people (which is probably pretty offtopic but anyway). It seems that a lot of what people like has to do with the coolness factor... this is all fairly obvious, but it seems when trying to convince someone to like something, if it's reasonably good and they like reasonably deep music then they theres a fair chance they'll get into it.
For instance I had a party recently, and I tried playing Ian's liquid shit set which actually went down really well until it went all jazzy and got turned off by people. I noticed quite a few chickas liking Matrix and futurebound-family and the guys got into the reggae tracks.
So I guess it's probably a bit hard to convince rock heads to listen to house considering the culture differences.

SMC, you're being a huge dick. Stop looking down on people and giving them shit just because they don't like Ambient. I doubt Darkarbiter ever threatened or trashed your genre of music, so keep it civil and stop taking things so fucking personally. |
I'm the one who brought up ambient, I don't think anyone particularly said anything bad about it.
