I agree.

In an effort to expand my options of software synthesis, I decided to purchase the LinPlug Octopus, a FM VSTi, earlier this week.

I have been utterly impressed with sounds that FM synthesis is able to create in the hands of a competent programmer (which is not me, by the way). Now I regret waiting so long to join the ranks of FM users.

Anyway, this thing is a monster synth and is widely regarded as the ultimate FM hardware synth, so I'm looking forward to getting under the hood with it. This thread will be very helpful.
