At least PVD is alot less cheesier than Armin gets, especially on ASOT 50% of his tracks are so cheesy. You get maybe a handfull of episodes that he plays the most amazing prog/techy stuff like episode 354, which I think was the most amazing one out of all the years I've been listening to it. But, otherwise it's just a dissapointment week after week. The last time I got to see him on halloween he played all the same songs from episode 365 which was a live set from Ibiza from 2 months before that. I was like dude you got to be kidding me. What happened to you? Also, I'm just not feeling the producers that he's using like Tom Colontonio and Nitrous Oxide. I do like some of them like Sied Van Riel, Orgin Nilsen, Arnej, Jochen Miller. The ones that support his darker, more techier groove.

Pvd does get a little cheesy sometimes on his radio show but most of the time he keeps it gutter. But, I haven't had fun at a PVD gig since New Years '04 at Exit he was awesome. I don't know I think it's that he just doesn't hype the crowd the way Tiesto and Armin do. People cheer at the beginning of the night. Otherwise, the rest of the night they're pretty silent. But, at Tiesto or Armin the crowd is going nuts right up until the end.

Dude take it easy, it's nothing personal against the man, I mean good luck to him. Yeah, I know he's from new york, but if you think that's gonna make me like someone, I mean come on dude, I'm laughing right now just thinking about it, it's absurd. I bet you if Tom read this right now he could care less. So, who cares, do you really? I didn't say it to insult the guy. Nobody on this forum ever hesitates from saying all the nasty things they like to say, that's why sometimes I don't like coming on these forums because I don't want to deal with all the bullshit. Really says alot about some people. I can't force myself to like something that doesn't fit my taste. I'm sorry if you have a difference of opinion, but why do I have slow my role? I think you might be the one that's a little ahead of himself, but I hope you understand now that I've clarified. I heard one of his set's on music choice but sucked ass. None of the shit that I've heard Armin play on his radio show from him ever impressed me. I wish it did, but it didn't. Don't get me wrong I do like uplifting trance but it's like you have to be so very picky with it, especially if not techy. That's why I usually can enjoy the first hour of Armin's show because it's progressive, but, he plays alot of cheesy shit and couple of techy tracks but not nearly enough of it. But I'm go to trackitdown.net and look over his material, and if I hear anything that like I'll get back you about it.

Just saying, if you're gonna throw anyone under a bus, it's a little harsh to do a local guy on a local forum, haha. I don't really care bro.

Dude - honestly.. Don't even bother.

Narrow minded ppl are a huge fail. It's an open forum - open to discussion and MANY opinions. If people browsed more they would understand that it isn't "throwing someone under a bus".

Well, I remember Armin mentioning Tom when he first started blowing up as "the guy from New York". He might be from Jersey but you know how it is, people from Jersey and Connecticut are usually associated with the NY scene, eventhough both of them do have their own little local scenes.

Well I was just stating my opinion, not so much trying to throw the guy under bus. Now, if that would have been my intention, I would of been saying it to try to convince everybody that was reading this thread to agree with me, and that's was not my objective. I was only stating my personal preference. But, I know for a fact that I wasn't gonna change anyone's mind if they already liked him. But anyway, I did go look up alot of his material last night on trackitdown.net and to my suprise I ended up enjoying alot of it. It wasn't so cheesy like I thought it would be. So, I guess I was mislead a little bit. But, hey I'm happy to know now.
