Well, early reports (the pre-release almost production pre-production units) were that it was just as much of a piece of shit that all Palm devices have been. Then the actual production models with the production software and everything hit reviewers hands and they absolutely love it. For me, the jury is still out as I have yet to get my hands on one as of this moment. There are some issues that have been creeping up, but we will see what happens. Give it 6 months, and then lets talk. |
Yeah, there are going to be obvious bugs with any new phone release, but I'm sure Palm will release a patch to fix that soon. My buddy Zach has one, it organizes your contacts like the iPhone and has a shitton of applications at your fingertip whenever you need it. The great thing is the way it treats applications like processes, where you can use an app, answer a call, send an email, browse the web, and return to what you were doing without any loading/garbage collection time being wasted. Also, the gestures to close cards and move them over to the side is cool. I'm actually pretty excited about owning one soon, I have had a Sprint contract for a while and my contract runs out in a few days. It seems cheaper to buy a 2-year contract and a phone for $200 bucks instead of an iPhone + an AT&T contract for over $150 more.
