I saw him about 4 years ago at Spundae out in LA with Armin at a White party that Spundae had going on at the time. It was an epic night over all and my first time seeing both DJs. I've seen ATB about 7 times since and it never fails. Always the same exact opening song (Ecstasy) and dropping in clips of 9 pm through out his set till about the last 20 minutes where he'll play the original club mix. Again, the first time I saw this I was impressed but it's kinda sad to see his sets have not changed at all over the past 4 years.

then why doo you people go to his shows ?? no one iz forcing you1

lol. Of course no one is forcing me. Almost every time I've seen him he is either headlining a festival or playing along side another big name DJ in a club. Also, I'm not saying the guy is a shit DJ/Producer. All I'm saying is he needs to start switching up his gigs a lil bit. How sick would it be if he sampled "Don't Stop", "Field's of Love", or even "I don't wanna stop" during his gigs. All of his tracks have that type of melodic sound just like 9 PM so it would work with any of them.

gerard I love you, but you are a freakin retard for saying that. LOL!!!! HOw can you have an opinion about a party you have never been to?

Armin at TW was one of the best parties I have ever been to, BUT (and wai can attest to this, since I have spoken about the party a 100 times....) Tiesto at the Docks 2003 was just as epic. Same skyline view, massive production, bomb after bomb, and the vibe was incredible and nothing I have witnessed in a club SINCE......my peeps and I were almost crying when it was over......soooooo massive and still #2 party of my life behind TW. Burak wouldnt have made it out alive, i promise you this.

Why was I in middle school when all this epicness happened. Why is this not happening in 2009?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA..... yea, the GREAT old 90s eurodays. I still can't believe he was part of a band longtime ago. There is a rumour that he might get back to the SQ1 project after he released the new album. Here's another where he even rapped a bit:

djquick: i didnt belive the numbers either, but that was threwout the whole night, plus there was another party in pachita that was packed out...maybe 6000 is a lil far fetched your probly right
but i belive it was their biggest night of the year surpassing jp classics and dt/vc bday...their biggest night ever i belive was guetta in 2008... all i know is that atb packed that place the fuk out

as for this thread turning from atb to atb vs ferry/markus to tiesto vs armin lol

i will comment on that a lil bit, for me personally tiesto took you on more of a journey music wise from to me his golden years from 99 threw 2003, after the whole number 1 dj and tiesto in concert shit went to his head he got too commercial and thats when armin stepped up
armin from 2003 threw 2006 i would get so excited knowing he was comming to town, cause he would just bang it out with trance

but ironicly 2 of my fav trance nights ever are tiesto at roxy 2002 and armin at tobacco warehouse
both of the vibes were just unreal, but like i said tiesto took you on more of a journey music wise...and yes burak he was playing as i call them "out of no-where tiesto bombs"
but armin at tobacco was also kind of a musical journey since he played for 6 hours, but he deff kept it more towards the trance side

totally agree with everything you said!! you got the years on point!

oakie: 1998-2001
Tiesto: 1999-2003/4
Armin: 2003-2006

^^amazing years for each DJ, and each have fallen off a bit since....

and please, people, dont comment on a party you have never been to, its just so damn stupid and has no room for an opinion since you didnt witness it. I have to say that, if armin @ TW is the ONLY party you have experienced with such a vibe, then i feel sorry for you, because clearly I have been to a party or two or five that *HAVE* compared. lucky me
