Everyone on here knows I help Spundae a little. That said, my posts on here have zero to do with that fact. I speak my opinion and it doesn't matter who or what it's about. It's not like I haven't given Spundae plenty of flack over the years, because I have.

When I post an opinion that I know will rile up some people on here, I usually leave the footnote that my opinion is of my own accord and has zilch to do with any club, promoter, dj, agency, etc, I can be tied with. And if you want to see it in any other way, that's your problem.

So you know what, to me, it's your problem. I don't want it to be anyone's problem, but I don't know else I can say to convince you otherwise. So I'm not sweating it.

When I speak my opinion, I don't even think about the fact that I help this group or that group out. The day I can't speak my mind like that is the day that either I'm working fulltime with/as a promoter/club/whatever and would just be flat out improper or the day I stop caring about EDM and just stop posting altogether.

I know the whole group association route is the easy excuse for people to say when trying to use my opinion against me. But that's not the case so that route will lead to nowhere.

I have been on TA longer than I have helped any club/promoter/group directly and spoke my mind exactly the same way back then. Nothing has changed.

And the reason I didn't come that night was because my fiance already had plans, which I forgot she told me about, to go to her friend's house for awhile that night to help her with smoe decorations or something, so I had to stay home with my son. And I said in that very post that I would def be trying to come out for Aly & Fila.

My whole little "I need convincing" post was just me kidding around, BTW. Fila has prob been one of the best three acts I've seen this year as far as trance goes....I've been wanting to see him badly since the first time I saw him!

Anyway, my little snicker about the cost of cover was just an opinion. This is a forum for opinions, so I stated it. I never said it would deter me for coming. You haven't really been around here long enough to know my style of giving opinions...which I'll admit are sometimes much ruder than I intend. Like my previous comment in this thread, which I already admitted could have been nicer. I know I sometimes come off as an asshole...but I'm far from that once you get to know me.

I apologized for my previous comment already. I am not trying to start anything or cause trouble. That's not what I want. I like to get along with everyone! Anyhow, again...I apologize. Beyond doing that, I don't know what more I can do.

I bet Loc $300 that you will not do it since you always post things up for Spundae and you still promote for them. This is my second time typing this. Damn internet (Road Runner) went down sometime when I was typing my original reply, guessing around 1am! And when I hit reply it all broke and I lost my original post. I tried to cover everything I said in it in this retype, but the first version came out better as everything I wanted to say was fresh on my mind. Having to retype all this over again is frustrating more than anything hehe...

Anyhow....

Markus is a DJ I highly respect and have been one of his biggest supporters since the first time I heard his radio show online when there were only like 10 people in the world listening to it online as someone was just patching the radio show though his computer and we were connecting to that. I've known him personally for years, since before he started touring like crazy. I saw he was playing in SF and I posted a thread on it immediately. I also posted a thread about him playing in Vegas yesterday and that's for a Perfecto night at RAIN. I only posted tha thread about Markus now because it's f'n Markus! Otherwise, that thread would have been posted a little more down the road, usually by Alain!

Getting past that, are you really going to be the one person who uses the fact that I help peeps out, including Spundae, against me? Because if you are, then you really don’t know me (which I can actually understand). And you are just wasting your time thinking the wrong thing.

Look, I help Spundae with various things. I've never hidden that. I've also helped other promtoers out over the years. And I've helped clubs, too, often asked to help control the green room and/or booth area since I've had a lot of experience with dealing with the crowd and (I guess you can call it) protecting the DJ or making sure he's just taken care of while playing -- but that was all up in SF. I always post the Spundae signature with my posts with any Spundae-related post...which is a lot on these boards. But I’m no major player with the group. I'm not in charge of promotions or anything, but I do help maintain its calendars and post events in some spots. So yeah...it's known I help them out around here. But I've spoken my opinion on here for far longer (7+ years now) than I've helped them or anyone out. And when I agree to help people out it's known that it's not going to stop me from speaking my mind even if it's something I don't like about them -- so I drive them all nuts sometimes, trust me. Speaking my mind is what's gotten to let me get to know a lot of people who run promotion groups, clubs, etc. What I say is always from the point of what I think would be better for the scene. I even complained about how Circus used to charge $25 at the door no matter who was playing...this includes when Spundae was there. I’m one who believes door prices and all that should line up with the DJ notoriety and, these days, the economy.


If you are going to use this association against me, then what can I do? Want me to say how I have no interest in seeing Bad Boy Bill over at Avalon Saturday, since I just don't like his music. But wait, I shouldn't be saying that type of stuff...hmmmm. I probably shouldn't be saying how I want to be at a competing event on the same night, in which I would be paying my own money to that competing promoter/club, right? That would be in bad interest.

All I can tell you is that any association I have with any group has NOTHING to do with anything I say on here. I really don't know what else to say.

I have apologized publically on here TWICE and sent both you and Loc a private apology via PM because I realize my first comment about the cover came off rudely. I wanted to mo let you know that I was serious about the apology by also doing it privately – something I wouldn’t have mentioned here if I didn’t have to make this reply. But I send those PMs and come back to your latest stab...when I'm trying to heal any wounds. I could have changed or removed my initial reply, like Loc did when he full on needlessly called out a group or two on here and changed what he said later (and apologized, too, I believe), but I didn't. I decided to step up, admit what I said was rude, and apologize. \

If you want to continue having a grudge, then I can't stop you. You two are literally the first two people who have ever come across an opinion of mind who seemingly have taken it so personal. Please don't take it personal, that's not my intention. I imagine you're putting your heart (passion) into what you're doing and not only have I appreciated that, but I'm sure we all do. I'm glad to see Circus, getting some great acts coming through. I love how you are changing around the room constantly keeping it fresh. I, a person who hates peeps with glow-sticks, also openly said I really liked what you all did with them when Helstrip was there. I hope it all continues to go well and continues to grow, because it's better for that scene. With that, I'm not one to hold grudges so I'm opting out of this whole spectacle because in the end we're just going to be going in circles. If you are willing to accept my apology, I'm willing to move forward and try to get a positive relationship going. I'm really not the asshole I can come across as on here - an issue which I openly talk about all the time on these boards. Hell, some of my best friends thought I hated them when they first met me. I just can come off that way. Wish I didn't, but I do. I admit it. I admit it and then try to get past that and get a good relationship going.

Either way, I have no issues with you or Loc because I can understand the responses you two have had after my initial comment. I don't blame you. All I can do right now is admit my mistake and try to make things better so things between us aren't so negative going forward. I'm trying to do that, but it takes both sides wanting to do that for it to actually happen.

Wrapping this all up, this is a thread about Fila so let's try to get back on track as soon as we can - for all of our sakes.

boooooo...some family issues came up last minute. total bummer. i even got 4 tickets at full price. sucky ducky! but its okay, i have a close buddy in LA to put the tickets to good use, so im sure him and 3 other friends will have a blast!

If you bought the tix through groovetickets and plan to use will call, you need to be the one picking them up.

thanks for the heads up. i already called them yesterday and they told me how to take care of it...which involves making a photocopy of credit used etc, and that should do it.
