Funny thing is death isn't expensive; it is the uncanny ability of humans to box up space and claim it; then sell it off. That is the expensive part.
Houses follow this same indoctrination. |
A family of 4 with young children lives happily in a suburb where the father is the breadwinner and the mother is a stay at home mum. They just spent $700K on a new house with a deposit of $50K, which means $650K is still left on the mortgage.
On the way to work on Monday, the father is hit head-on by another car and dies instantly. He had no life insurance.
What does the mother do now? Not only did she just lose her husband, but her kids will never know their father, she has no real income nor time to work as she has to look after the kids, she has to pay for the funeral and yet she still has that massive mortgage.
Is life insurance still useless? If your answer is yes, please do us all a favour and kill yourself or at least let a Dr make you sterile.
