i was in Vietnam working for InterContinental in Hanoi.

but i kinda know what you mean about it being backwards in terms of lifestyle, working with only asians, since only me and the directors were foreigners in the hotel.

But it was an amazing experience and definitely makes me feel like i can work in the harshest working environments now

I taught her only twice a week, and her family is amazing, im probably going to go back next year to work there again, at a different establishment and probably resume private tutoring with her haha. But yeah i had a meeting with her at first to see her character and she was very obedient (most of the times).

I don't think i could do a whole class so props for having the patience, they offered it but i didn't really had time to teach school and work at the hotel

as different as asia was, it was a humbling experience. Those kids go to school from 9am until 10 pm because the only resource the country has is its people. They have more money than the average north american joe, so they must be doing something right.

the corporate side jobs were a breeze because they consisted of discussing the wall street journal in a "hof" (fried chicken and beer lol), and then trying to convince everyone to go see some prostitutes. (i never did, but it is normal for them and their wives accept it even because they bring home the $$$)
