i see now that it really is handy to be dutch, as i can speak dutch, english, french and german..
most dutchies have less difficulty in pronouncing stuff (except Arabian or something )

Danny Tenaglia:
10 - nah - llia ("gl" sounds as "ll" in the word million, not as in lake...it's a soft "l")

Souvenir de Chine:
Soo - vay - NEER d' ShEEn' (It means "a memory from China". I mean, something you have to keep the memory - a statue or a vase, not the thought itself). Get it?
To: Miss E
It's japanese, right? If it is, you do pronounce the "e" in the end of "tomiiee"
(I'm not an expert in Jap. lang., but I know you pronounce the "e" in the word "iie" which means "no" and "ie" which means house - not the music, but the place you live in )
To: anyone dutch
What about Geert huinink? By the way, is dutch "g" similar to (french/german) "r" (then "gielen" would sound like "rielen")? Cheers

carte blanche

wow I always thought it was a derivitave from the latin (I think..) "tabula rasa" <- or similar spelling which meant a clean slate. So if you've been bad whatever you are now given a clean slate to start over, and I figured white card, = clean slate y'know?

but it probably means the permission to do something...

just my thoughts

most of you are americans?
it is funny to read your questions and answers.
i dont mean i knew all of those how to pronounce them.
but, about ibiza, i think it is eebeetsa
z is not like usual z in zero,
it is like ts in "its".
but this is not t and s separately, it is like to say it quick.
and in italian z in pronounced also as ts in "its".
