yeah if you can just do the excersie and good diet, stay away from the drugs legal or illegal unless you really need them. i get mixed reviews from people who have been on meds before so you really cant listen to any of us bc we arent doctors but with that being said maybe you should consult one. im not saying that will answer all your prayers but at least you'll be heading in a somewhat good direction. talking to people helps a lot. maybe just get a regular therapist you'd be suprised what a half hour of talking to someone can do. and hang in there cause we're not all 'happy' lol

The best times of my life were spent on drugs. I suggest you start trying them asap.

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

Forgetting the jokes and this thread actually has some good advice!

The amount of negativity and pessimism in society. I can understand why there are so many depressed people around.

Eat well, exercise well, have good friends.

But most of all do something that makes you happy, and if you haven't found it yet, go out and find it.

Don't sit in your room, have a goal in life, actually - have a goal in everyday life, smile at the people at work, chat to someone new, anything which may break up the monotomy of a 9-5.

As much as people may give you advice. Only you can change the way you live.

Check out this, its a great book.

I also think 'Into the Wild' is a great film to watch. Full of positivity and an example of grabbing life and making the most of it how you want to, not how society or anyone else dictates.

there's a ton of pessimism in this thread because everyone knows this guy is a weirdo

depressed? no woman in your life? stop acting like a creepy fuck. not happy about your self-image? get on a treadmill. start to shower every day. brush your teeth. broke all the time? get a fuckin job. not making enough? get a fuckin education.

if all else fails, the SSRI's aren't working, the counseling isn't working, and you refuse to change your behavior- start a painkiller habit. there's no such thing as a bad day on opiates.

Depression ≠ emo whining about a shit life.

It can be hereditary, or be a product of high levels of stress. It's pure chemistry, not a choice or result of a person being weak.

Remember the German goal keeper? Uber successful life, wife, healthy life... depression & suicide.
