That was a play on 'high horse, i've missed you', the unicorn being some relative of the equine family.

overreact to something like my post above, which was half-serious. It was a joke.
|
oh please. i don't have enough fingers on my hands to count the times you've publicly tarred and feathered me for the same thing and were either 'three-quarters' serious or '100%' serious. next time you want to joke, i would suggest you say something funny, or use a smilie.

What I mean to say is, lighten-up. It's just an internet forum.
|
I think what you don't get is that I am just extraordinarily-fucking-passionate about this stuff, and you confuse that with not 'lightening up'. That's just how I am. I'm sure if you met me in person, you'd see it is an infectious, earnest, well-meaning passion that I share with everyone I know, and not whatever complex you are pinning to me.

You're passionate and I get that, but don't run around on here acting as if we all have some huge lesson to learn. |
how many people here know about the wigam casino? its something for people to know, and something people might be interested in, because the northern soul scene was truly the precursor to the british rave scene, and so was more or less the grandfather of trance culture here. as I said, I'm sure some people will appreciate what I share - if you don't, then just keep it to yourself instead of trying to flame me for some imagined braggery.
we all have plenty to learn. i found out about the wigam casino and the northern soul from some 'nefardec-like-ass' who shared it with me.

Then use the ignore feature - that's what it's there for. |
But why would I ignore you when I actually enjoy things you post? I don't even mean this in the "oh yes, I love trolling this nef dude", I mean it in I genuinely do enjoy music, ideas, and whatnot you post. I've learned a lot from you. However, it's obvious we don't, and wont, get along ever. We're just different people.
Annnnyyywaaaayyys, it's cool, I just wont respond at all anymore. I didn't realize the stupid little digs I've made at you over time really meant that much to you, because they certainly didn't to me, and you're not the only one I do that to. Woscars gotten some of it as well, and I really have no real problem with him either.
I guess I'm just retarded.
And this is why we can't have nice things.

Well, you could've dropped this part, for starters...

It's not just on this thread though. Look at this comment from the SECT EP thread:

man of wisdom - one looped sample of some boogaloo track (which is probably pretty awesome originally) laid onto a canned 'tech house' beat, with a repetitive reverberant tom pitched to the prime. the only modulation the sample is cutting in halves and filtering - right up there with call on me. boring as fuck. djs, artists, labels: please stop promoting this depressing, chuggy, canned sound.
hi fi all around - sounds like a remix of 'jam on it' by newcleus, except not nearly as fun, funky, or dirty. don't like the proggy, filter-filled breakdown structure.
sectsy - cant stand the title, but i mind this track the least. i've never been a fan of those repetitive anonymous destroyed/filtered vintage vocal samples in anything. sounds like some kind of tilt dark prog from the early 2000s
what i like about this is that nice pad with the big LFO and the flittering percs. it also uses that old school perc sample found in house conductor - tonight i'm going to love you, which is pretty awesome. the perc work in this one is generally pretty good later on, way beyond the bs tech house (tm) percs of 'man of wisdom'. |
Not that you're not entitled to your own opinion or that you shouldn't have a right to express it. But most of the time you end up looking like one of those nerds that loves to hate shit except for his own obscure shit.
