I love how people are defending that coffee made at home is better, and coffee from this independent ultra chic cafe in the art district of whatever city you are in served to you by a hippy with dreadlocks and a some article of hemp clothing is vastly superior to Tim Horton's coffee...

NO SHIT!

But for the average person who is at work 8-10 hours a day and doesn't have a half decent coffee maker at work to make or prepare coffee, let alone store their coffee somewhere where it isn't stolen or anything. And there is people who don't have the time or luxury to leave the office/factory etc to go get coffee from where you want to. They need to go to Tim Hortons (Or Starbucks if it's around and open)

For alot of people Tim Hortons is the only option because the simple convenient drive-thru which is on the way to or from your place of work/school or because maybe the Tim Hortons is right around the corner from work or school (or even many of them ON campus for lots of students).

It's a simple option, not to mention how easy it is to grab a quick snack or something while you are there and it isn't too expensive.

I get coffee through out the day when people go on coffee runs during a lunch or on thier way into work and it's just easy to say, 1 XL regular with milk than go through some large order of venti triple latte half goat milk spray of foam decaf with unicorn piss in it...

Pick a size, pick if you want sugar, milk or cream, pick how many units of sugar milk or cream you want... SIMPLE!

Price, location, availability... = reasons that Tim Hortons is better than those other options...

One of the main reasons why I bash Tim Horton's coffee is b/c it doesn't do what it's supposed to do....WAKE ME UP! I drink it b/c I don't mind the taste and just want a coffee sometimes. But if I need something to give me a boost, I would never get Tim Horton's.

Amazing.
Seriously, I wish coffee had this kind of effect on me again.
I should try to abstain for a while and see if I can recapture the magic.

PS. Someone needs to pick Dior Homme's wedgie

I disagree... Tim Hortons is so successful because they produce a bland coffee that while few who actually enjoy the taste of coffee will like most people can tolerate. IMO, the vast majority of coffee drinkers don't actually like coffee... they like hot, creamy, sweet, caffine.

Yes, but Tim Horton's coffee still tastes like shit (even though I find myself drinking it once in a blue moon).

I don't mind Starbucks, but I much prefer Te Aro or Moonbean's beans.

I disagree. In my Timbitch days, I remember a vast majority of customers ordering it with just milk, or black.
But yes, there were those who ordered cream and sugar with coffee in it ( Large four by four )

I like Tim Hortons coffee with just a tiny bit of milk to balance the taste. I genuinely enjoy the taste of a very fresh brew from there. If it sits for more than 5 minutes though, it's shit.

And you can tell when drinking it that it has been sitting for longer compared to the freshly brewed coffee.

I don't often drink coffee anymore. I actually just had my first one on Sunday in months. When I need the boost I will get one, but it took my body a long time to stop with the headaches and such that I was feeling from not having a coffee in the morning so I won't go back to drinking it regularly.

<3 all the pretentious coffee snobs.

I too love a good cup of gourmet coffee, have a keurig coffee maker, all of the above...

BUT, Tim Horton's is still, without question, #1 in my heart.
