Well, I know Daft Punk is one of a few acts that by name alone will get me really pumped.
That's just me personally. But like I said a couple of times already, I'm a little bit jaded...I've seen just about everyone I've really wanted to see.

I can tell you that Daft Punk has turned down gigs paying them hundreds of thousands of dollars in the US.
An Atlanta date is not in their future |
I'm not holding out hope for them. I know they don't tour much, and Atlanta wouldn't even be on their peripheries when they do tour. I was merely stating that they are one of very few performers that could be deemed "biggest Liquified announcement ever on the East Coast, no over hype involved" for me. Haven't really thought about who else could get me really pumped actually. But I'm sure there's some other acts out there, that are probably as unrealistic that I just can't think of them, that would also make me cum in my pants.
PvD, AvB, Deadmau5...they would be a great show obviously. But, been there, done that. Not exactly worthy of biggest Liquified Atlanta event status.

I'm with you. There are some artists that are great and all, but I've seen most the big ones and there is not much I would consider epic. A&B are great and all, but I wouldn't consider that epic. Biggest announcement ever is going to be hard to live up to for most of us on here, because I think a lot of us are jaded. I think a lineup of 2 or 3 huge names or someone like Daft Punk would be the only thing that would be epic to us.

He said "On the East Coast", so I doubt it's going to be Armin Only or a massive or something like that, cause I'm pretty sure their west coast arm hasn't done anything like that, since Insomniac has those types of events on lockdown.
I'm not trying to be negative, I'm sure whatever it is will be a big deal, but probably more of a big deal in a "holy crap this is costing us a lot more than our normal gigs" kind of way.
Also: PVD, Tiesto, Deadmau5, and Swedish House Mafia at Philips? That just doesn't sound right. I'll even set aside my musical taste for a minute (not a fan of Tiesto's new sound, Deadmau5, or SHM), but you should have acts that go together.
So, like... Christopher Lawrence, John 00 Fleming, and Infected Mushroom. (not my thing, but the psy fans would go nuts)
Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz, and Ferry Corsten
Cosmic Gate, Aly & Fila, Simon Patterson
etc.

Swedish House Mafia has the "One Night Only" tour that brings in a lot of other names with it.
An Armin Only would be amazing, but holding up my hopes for that. Although, if it did happen, I would buy a ticket in 0.1 secs.
