LMAO @ all the comments concerning the list. I totally get it, BUT...

At least appreciate the fact that there is a list out RIGHT NOW IN ADVANCE so that you can plan and prepare accordingly and not be met with surprises and hassles once you get to the event.

Be safe. Have fun.

There are very good reasons for each and every item on this list.. and our team (yes thats right we have to have a team these days) of lawyers have worked very hard to identify concerns and address them. I promise when I'm elected president I will address each and every concern of yours and make this list at least half as big... but for now it is the official guidelines

i think we all get what you're trying to do, distance yourselves from the drug scene as much as possible in order to ensure that you can run your events smoothly and with the least amount of interruptions and headaches. central florida goes way overboard we know. unfortunately it is painfully obvious that the lawyers who are advising you guys are old farts who really have no clue. even though you're trying your best to detour this kind of illegal activity it only makes it obvious as to whats really going on with a list like this. not only are you are giving those who do not engage in that kind of stuff a bad name but essentially you are educating those who do not need it. you would be a lot better off simply stating "no drug paraphernalia" rather than listing every single kind of it. and i really hope you dont honestly believe simply posting a list like this will actually prevent these items from being inside your events. not only can people be extremely sneaky but how much do you think those $8/hour event staff people really care? its not their ass if something goes down. so at the end of the day you're really only shooting yourselves in the foot. i get the point but the way you're going about it is completely ass backwards. i appreciate the effort in bringing an event like this as im sure many others do and personally i couldnt care about a single thing on that list but its obvious many others do and at the end of the day you might be hurting your business rather helping it.

just my 2 cents anyway...

So, I hope this event is a lot better organized than Monster Massive a couple years ago. It took almost 2.5 hours to get in, people were passing the guard rails over their heads and it went from a line to a 'mob'. Definitely saw a lot of people being escorted in hand cuffs as we're trying to get in. This so-called LIST makes me snicker...lol

It would be funny to see all them candy ravers chomping on their bracelets and necklaces to get in the gates

naturally we can agree to disagree but you cant really say my opinion is wrong. its the way i view things so its impossible to say thats wrong. i think that list makes you look exactly like what you're trying to avoid. never the less i wish this event nothing but success and like i already stated the list wont affect me at all. for me its just an interesting talking point.

#1) make sure everyone is safe
#2) throw badass party with great music

That is all that matters to me. If #1 means working with health and safety to meet other concerns then so be it. Insomniac has 30+ festivals a year and hundreds of other shows... I think they are pretty good at knowing what to say and why.

there is no way in hell u can make sure everyone is safe.....first off....short of drug sniffing dogs u wont stop the drugs from coming in......i know u have to do your best to limit whatever liability u might have should something go wrong, and thats fine.....but some of that seems overboard....gum should be allowed as long as its sealed....cigarettes, i totally get that...alot of places in cali are that way....anyways....good luck

i know you guys put on a good show but come on man, banning gum and stickers has NOTHING to do with health and safety!! everyone knows what thats about so dont even try to convince us otherwise. as much as i wanna punch plur-tards who run around handing out stickers in the face, i still think they have every right to be who they wanna be. stickers and gum dont hurt anybody. in your eyes they only hurt your image because its associated (way overboard btw) with drugs. and by going that overboard and even addressing that issue you're making yourselves look retarded. you are bringing the attention on yourselves! not even the people at the show anymore. and thats a HUGE mistake. it would be much better to just say "no drug paraphernalia" and then at the door confiscate gum and stickers. a couple people might bitch about it at the gate but its not as bad as having this list up a month and a half before the event.

but of course, my meaningless rambling on here isnt going to change anything so please by all means continue with these absurd notions that gum and stickers are a huge problem in electronic music festival scene. its so laughable.

My question is will ALL of the items that are banned from bringing in be sold at the event for ludicrous amounts of money? I know food, water, and alcohol are the staples of making money at these things. BUT, I will find it really stupid if you are going to sell candy, gum, and etc. at ridiculous prices. In effect you are saying no drugs and paraphenalia, but you will cash in on those items. Not saying you are, but IF you are that's pretty dumb.

Still going to go and have fun but the TSA style rules kind of kills my "good vibes" which I am supposed to bring.

Will this come with additions to the lineup? Or at least a way of knowing which dj's will be on which day so people can decide to buy friday or saturday.
