Recently acquired Darker Than Black, Psycho Pass, and Ergo Proxy, but haven't watched any of them yet. Need to check out Lain and Welcome to the NHK, too.

Watched a few animes several years ago, but haven't watched any in a while. I've watched most of the noir movies I could find in the last few years, however, so seemed like I need to go back to anime to find some dark shit I haven't seen yet.

Sounds good! I'm telling you tho, FATE ZERO is in a league of its own! DEATH NOTE (season 1 -season 2 for me was not even close to 1) was my fav of all time until seeing Fate Zero.
The dialogue is unbelievable=so freakin Awesome!!
Each of these charcters absolutely blew me away! I really hope you watch a few of the episodes. LMK your review on it! K take care!

I watched the first episode last night and it's not really my thing, didn't like death note either. I meant what I said before about not liking anime I've dropped like 20 of these shows already that are all supposed to be really good. Except for Haruhi which I love for some reason

K, its my fault for not reading back to where you had said Anime is not your thing. Personally those 2 anime are my fav- FZ & Death Note.

Sorry I have to disagree....
But, I will say this, *imo* around episode 9, the story really Blasts off! The first several episodes is establishing characters, which takes a bit too long, but well worth the wait. My wife even likes it.

Anyways, I'm checking out Attack on Titan tonight. I hope it's worth the hype.

AMAZING!!

Just finished Shin Sekai Yori and man does this series hit really hard. It is one of the darkest most psychological series I have watched with outstanding and relate-able characters and development. There were certain points in the series were I nearly felt physically ill seeing what the characters were going through. While some people may consider the pacing slow compared to other series I think the manner in which it is done contributes significantly to the psychological / philosophical themes that are pervasive throughout the series. Minimal fanservice and a very artistic feel is also a big plus here. Very few minor plotholes and consistent delivery from beginning to end.

Would highly recommend.
