You don't have to be rich. You just can't be a loser with no sense of responsibilities. Even that works sometimes if you make the toes curl right, but those type of women are rarely quality and are just fucking away daddy issues.

+1

Women want to feel secure and stable. You don't need wealth to accomplish that for them.

To be honest, I prefer a woman that has her own money. Someone who can take care of themselves and doesn't "need" you vs a latchkey kid that needs your pay cheque to survive, are so much more attractive. You can enjoy life without constantly having to worry about supporting someone else. These women also tend to be more confident, and in my experience, the relationships are just better. No one holds an edge. Equal partners.

This is a problem for me right now. Any Chinese/Korean woman that I meet will never be able to get decent employment if I decide to go back to Canada (which I will eventually...when? who knows...business is good.), and essentially would be housewives for life. That life sounds like such shit. I wouldn't want to subject someone, or myself to that.

They tend to want that life (duh, they get to go to a real country)...but fuck that. Western women here, are either Russian hookers, or fat. Until I can find one that isn't going to be a live in maid, I'll keep fucking my way through the phone book. I'm still on Chan, been there for 2 months.

And once you get that, you can convince her to strip if she is hot for money. That way neither one of you really needs to work.

I'm currently under self-imposed sabbatical, pondering what I want to do when I grow up, having quit full time employment last year. I go work for couple of months (contracting) and then do a part-time gig to help pay the bills.

I am working from home, part time ATM, so I get to make my own schedule.

Pros:

1. Wake up when I want to, go to sleep when I want to

2. I can drink while I work... or even smoke a blunt when I'm doing something boring that doesn't really require concentration - like Visio diagrams. BTW: I FUCKING LOVE VISIO WHILE STONED! Some of my best diagrams were made while high.

3. Playing around with synths when I feel like it

4. Take out "the beast" (wink wink, Rusty) for a long leisurly ride when weather permits summer tires

5. Going to Italy for a month last year

Cons:

1. Money's kinda tight

2. Having to dip into savings on occasion

3. Waiting for next gig, while client figures out what the f*ck they want to do

4. Not knowing when the next gig will start, therefore not being able to make any long-term plans

5. Feeling like shit on some days (possibly result of smoking way too much pot)

6. Fretting that next client may require a drug test and I'll have to turn them, errr. their $$$ down

7. Not enjoying weed as much

8. Gaining weight due to being next to fridge + weed

9. Being completely bored with everything and having to come to TA for entertainment. Although, I must say that seeing Rusty getting called out by multiple people for being such a fagtrollcunt.. err, himself.. is kinda neat.

I was stuck working at a hedge fund that turned out to be a ponzi scheme. I used to write code for them first, then moved to FX derivative trading. About a couple months ago I decided to call it quits and trade for my own account.

It hasn't been easy, but I'm still fairly liquid and with a greater sense of financial security. I have a lot of free time, which I use to take free on-line courses, work-out, dine-out, and lounge around the pool.

I'm building a video game start-up for location based mobile RPGs and working on a Hollywood mobile app for a third-party.

I would hate having no job or income, my boyfriend and I love to eat out and do stuff, I wouldn't be able to do any of those things.

If you're out there with no job, try to teach yourself a skill that would allow you to become self-sufficient. It will not be easy, but it beats sitting around getting high in front of the tv.

The only pros of being unemployed disappear after a week or two of being unemployed.
