Whats even better is how he ripped Armin last night. Everyone who loves trance should be there in support of JOC for telling Armin how it fucking is last night on air live with a lot of people watching and listening. If you want a listen go soundcloud Marlo's set around 13 minutes. And yes JOC ripped it last night, relistening to his set right now. Cannot wait for this one.

Like ISOS said find the soundcloud and listen at about 13 min in.

Holy shit that was awesome such a non confrontational way of saying "This is what it's supposed to be you douche bag."

I don't believe JOC "ripped" Armin in the convo. He simply said Armin has inspired him to be where he is at now and he will always stick to his roots. Armin agreed with him, but he had to throw in a good point that kids are attracted to housey beats nowadays and it will be tough for himself to go back to the "older" days of higher bpm trance music, considering the main driver for him is to stay at the "top" of the "popular DJ list." Honestly I believe deep down inside Armin does want to go back to his older style of djing but he is afraid he will lose the fame and reputation he has at the moment. :2cents

Hopefully like he said, Den Bosch will set a new direction for Trance. Let's hope Armin plays something very out of the normal.

He pretty much told armin you play house and dont play real trance anymore. If theres a polite way of ripping someone id say that was it. I feel like Armin wants to play real trance to, but David Lewis and management are pushing in the wrong direction. The more money armin makes the more money they make.

Exactly. Politically correct way of saying "Yeah, you play more house these days Armin." When JOC hit him with that he sounded honest in his answer instead of some pre-written comment about styles and yada yada. From the way he talked he sounded jealous that JOC could smash a set like that out there and not have to worry about his image. I guess that's what Armin gets for caring so much about rankings and all that.

Seriously. It would be nice to know how much sleep we can squeeze in before hitting up ASOT. Though, even if I wasn't exhausted out of my mind, after catching Bryan Kearney and JOC I have a feeling of being disappointed with ASOT regardless.

Not trying to steer you away from a good time but make damn sure you wanna do ASOT. It's going to be a clusterfuck full of stupid raver kids and the music will be cheesy as hell, even though some of the DJs are capable of much more. I would definitely get every ounce out of the Space party...

Honestly if you like the type of trance JoC and those guys will be spinning I wouldn't put a downer on your weekend by seeing the A State of Cheese 600.

I was contemplating it but it's not worth it. There is literally no dj on there that will get me to go. Markus is awesome but what will he do with barely an hour? Nothing really. PvD is the only one I'm interested in seeing and I get to see him this Friday.
