Maybe I did start the thread wrong, but none of you helped.. you all acting just as bad as i was. I did get you to read thou, didn't i. my point :O
Tranceseeker, my taste in music has evolved into tech-trance artist like Kaylab, Oliver Lieb & Mauro Piccoto. I listened to xpander, not my cup of tea, but not as bad as the stuff today.

Geez xfer... You're the most jaded asshole I've seen on this board or any message board for that matter. You've been DJ'ing since 1994? WELL... where the fuck do you DJ and what festivals/clubs have you played at in you illustrious carreer? Uh-hun,,, just like I thought. If you have such a vast knowledge of trance then why aren't you playing at festivals like PvD and Armin etc... Why you ask... because most likely it's your poor attitude,,, and your closed minded taste in ever evolving music. I feel sorry for you man,,, really I do.

guess you could say i have always stuck to what i like, im a a very picky person, as you can tell. I have done a couple big event's... but my style is not trendy enough. haha one promoter even asked me if i play stuff like Pvd.. you know how that went.. im not in it for the money like pvd and the rest. I do it for fun.

To me this is how the scene works, if you all play the same style .. you get gigs alot easier. at least out here in US. doesn't matter how good you mix. just the style and song selection.

Well,,, I must say that in your last reply you've nicely toned down your jadedness. You're right,,, in most places it doesn't matter about your mixing,,, as long as you're playing the tracks people want to hear that's all that matters. A good friend once told me,,, 90% of the time you should play what the people want to hear,,, and then the other 10% is used to edjucate them. Whatever,,, it's all on you man,,, good luck with your DJ'ing carreer.

PS- I have to disagree with you about PvD being in it for the $$$. Some other DJ's are certainly in it for that,,, but I believe he is an exception =)

It appears someone has a raging superiority complex. Took you long enough to find this site though, and not very long at all to assume you knew more about trance than everyone on here. And we all know what happens when you make an assumption.

BTW it's strange that you list a whole bunch of obscure tracks and then just throw in two super popular tracks like Out of Body Experience and the Prophet. Good tracks, to be sure. Strange that those were the only two tracks to capture your imagination that were not obscure in all these years of trance.
