Mastering
well , as see it the so called real master artists wont be glad hearing all this.
On the other hand there is the fact that as with much in de music bizz everything is a litle bit fake. the fact that the word PRO has nothing to do with good or bad , but only with being payed says it all. If i tell someone i did it my self at home, then they start hearing all kinds of flaws. When i tell them i did it in the studio because its my job then all of a sudden its all ok. :-)
bottom line ..if its sounds good then it is good and no listener will care if you used a golden set of ears and a golden set of equipment.
I have seen unmasterd stuff go straight to the club , and i never heard someone go " wow thats poorly mastered ".
If you can then let it be mastered , otherwise do the best job you can yourself but never think that it cant be good if its done by a so called amateur. I have seen the opposit many times. even tracks that where mastered better when they came in then when they left .. all because the hype of the local mastering engineer.
Listeners only hear two things .. good music ..and bad music .. they dont care about the vision and technologie behind it.

dont post links
post ur own experience
people dont learn shit from reading 1000 pages ,
ive tried many ways, inlcuding t-racks, wavelab multi compressor thingy
now im using a new way using Linmb or LMB i think its called for wavelab
very amazing programs
it makes it nice and loud
first is first though, i use reason and i learnt it HAS to be pretty amazing in reason already, that way itll be perfect
so bottom line, any program/way can work, but most important, u gotta have it sounding well in ur program already, before the "mastering" process...
hope it helped
peace out
