Viva is still in the "Toronto Area"... Now if they just said, it's in Toronto, then i would think it wasn't there. Destiny Kicks!!! I want to spin at a Destiny party!!!heh

I know, unfortunately this city seems to be getting worse for amounts of Venues available.

Yup - venues are getting tight. The whole reason we were able to start the rave scene here 10 years back was that the recession of the early 90's created a wealth of empty warehouses and other buildings that were cheap to rent... nothing like that around anymore - half the places we used to use are condos and the other half are off limits because the city and the cops threatened the owners!

If you knew the amount of paperwork and meetings involved in doing an event at NPSquare - yikes - never again!

does this mean no more iDance .. ? that's a shame ..

i always thought that eventually if the legacy was kept going it would turn into more of a street parade and we'd actually have a festival in TO that would draw some international talent at a free public event ..

there was no idance last year either. no sponsor to pay for it...and everyone (well a ton of ppl anyway) complained about it - no body apreicated the amount of work, money, and time that lots of people put into that event to make it happen.

yup - but hey - all hope is not lost....looking on the good side of things we have an amazing party comeing up and there has been a stedy rise in attendance @ raves once again. The bad thing is it is hard to expand at the moment as venues are a little lacking but no fear we are doing are best and looking everywhere. plus, we have lots planned for the summer including WEMF so things are defently on the up and up. And it would never still be possible today without ppl like yourself that have not lost hope and continued to support us and the rave scene in general over the years - especially durring the temporary downfall - that is the only way we have made it this long and plan to keep on going.

What Viva again? There is only one venue that excites me in Toronto - Viva. Actually there is 3 - Viva, Skydome and Air Canada Centre. But I don't think the last two will ever be used to host parties But I can't dream right?
